Chapter 109 - Familiar face

Then he stepped through the doorway, his figure fading slightly into the dim light of the long stone corridor beyond.

After Hades had left, the room grew quiet again.

Haze stood there for a few seconds, staring at the doorway where the god had just been. The wide marble archway looked even larger now that Hades was gone. Without the tall figure standing in it, the room suddenly felt emptier

"Finally," Haze muttered under his breath, rubbing the back of his neck.

He stayed there a moment longer, then pushed himself up from the edge of the bed.

Haze started pacing slowly, his boots clicking softly against the floor. He wasn't really walking anywhere, just moving for the sake of it. Every few steps, he would glance toward the table where the fire burned, the blue light flickering across his hands as he passed.
