Chapter 602 - Chapter 600: Transformation of Idleness (Conclusion)

The use of the Special Grade Cursed Object, the Prison Realm, came with strict conditions: the target to be sealed must be within four meters of the open gate for about a minute. Achieving this was particularly difficult when facing Gojo Satoru's Limitless Cursed Technique. The only way to succeed was through a perfectly executed surprise attack. If Gojo were to catch wind of their plan, any chance of sealing him would vanish.

This was precisely why Suguru Geto and Mahito collaborated to fulfill Kokichi Muta's request while preemptively deploying a veil to block any communication from Kokichi. Although Kokichi had bound them with a Binding Vow during their agreement, they had likewise bound Kokichi with one.

Kokichi, fully aware of this, had prepared a backup plan that would only activate upon his death. His meticulous foresight demonstrated that he was no ordinary individual. If it weren't for the nearly unbeatable nature of Mahito's Idle Transfiguration, even formidable cursed spirits like Jogo or Hanami might not have been able to overpower Kokichi.

This mutual understanding between Kokichi and his adversaries was why both Mahito and Suguru Geto attacked without hesitation. While Geto had been passively observing the fight earlier, he now saw the need to get directly involved.

"Run and warn Gojo Satoru! They're planning to seal him. I'll hold them off," Kokichi shouted to Daniel Davis as soon as he realized someone had come to his rescue. His cursed energy flared up, ready to buy Daniel some time.

Despite his youth, Kokichi's Heavenly Restriction granted him immense cursed energy, rivaling Special Grade sorcerers. Without such power, he wouldn't have lasted so long against Mahito or even inflicted significant damage.

"Relax. I'm not planning to let anyone die here," Daniel said calmly.

While Kokichi's binding vow prevented him from directly eliminating Suguru Geto and Mahito, Daniel had no such constraints. Though defeating them outright wasn't his primary goal, escaping with Kokichi was entirely feasible.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

As Mahito and Suguru Geto charged forward, Daniel fired several rounds at them. Naturally, these weren't ordinary bullets but specially crafted explosive incendiary rounds. Regular ammunition wouldn't have been enough to stop Mahito from finishing off Kokichi earlier.

"Catch you later," Daniel quipped as he threw several smoke grenades. Despite his formidable strength, Daniel always carried an arsenal of modern weaponry in his spatial ring—guns, grenades, smoke bombs, and more. It was reminiscent of figures like Doflamingo or Blackbeard in One Piece, who, despite their immense personal power, still carried pistols on their belts.

"Damn it!" Suguru Geto cursed as black smoke filled the room. He immediately summoned dozens of cursed spirits to sweep the area.

Though Suguru was skilled, he lacked abilities like Observation Haki or the Six Eyes that Gojo possessed. In the smoke, finding Daniel and Kokichi was nearly impossible, leaving him reliant on his summoned spirits. Within moments, near seventy cursed spirits of various shapes and sizes appeared, spreading out to search for the escapees.

"I'll break the veil so you can escape and deliver the message to Gojo Satoru," Kokichi said, staggering toward the veil despite his injuries. He began gathering cursed energy to shatter it.

"Hold on. Let me handle this," Daniel interjected, stopping Kokichi as he noticed the strain worsening his injuries. He pulled out several grenades, tossing some toward Suguru and Mahito and others at the veil.

The lack of modern weaponry among sorcerers puzzled Daniel. Modern weapons, while not particularly effective against curses, could be game-changers against curse users. Even Maki Zenin's affinity for firearms was a step in the right direction, though she hadn't thought to enhance her weaponry's power. While sorcerers lacked spatial rings, cursed spirits with storage capabilities were common—Toji Fushiguro, for instance, had used one as his personal armory.

Boom! A series of explosions erupted, shattering the veil. Daniel grabbed Kokichi and dashed out. Mahito transformed into a massive serpent-like creature to pursue them but was forced to halt under the onslaught of Daniel's grenades. Although the blasts couldn't kill Mahito, they were enough to damage his body and buy time.

Meanwhile, Suguru Geto found himself taking cover behind his cursed spirits to avoid injury. Despite being an imposter, the current Suguru Geto understood the risks of letting his arms—crucial for his Cursed Spirit Manipulation technique—sustain damage. His desperation underscored the significance of his goal: obtaining Mahito's Idle Transfiguration and completing his carefully orchestrated plan.

"Damn it. We can't let Gojo Satoru prepare. We need to execute the plan now," the imposter Geto said urgently after Daniel and Kokichi vanished.

"Is that really necessary? Our preparations aren't complete yet," Mahito replied, reverting to his usual form.

"There's no time. If Gojo Satoru has any warning, your plan will never succeed," the imposter Geto retorted.

Mahito regarded Geto suspiciously. Although they had been cooperating for some time, Mahito had never trusted him—or any human, for that matter. Even curse users, in Mahito's eyes, were merely humans.

"If we don't act now, my part in this plan ends here. I'm not confident in sealing Gojo Satoru if he's on guard," Geto added, his tone steadying as he sensed Mahito's doubts.

"Fine. Let's start. I'll notify my people; you notify yours," Mahito said after a long silence. The two immediately split up to begin their respective tasks.

"I've brought the person you wanted," Daniel said, appearing before Gojo Satoru with Kokichi in tow. Upon seeing Gojo, Kokichi wasted no time recounting everything he knew, including his agreement with Mahito and the details of their plan.

"What did you say? Suguru Geto? That's impossible. He's dead," Gojo's expression darkened as he processed Kokichi's words.

"Are you sure you really killed him back then?" Kokichi asked, staring at Gojo. He admitted that he had been equally stunned when the imposter Geto first appeared before him.

Kokichi's deal with Mahito had been brokered by Geto. This wasn't surprising; only someone like Geto, with extensive knowledge of sorcerers, could have pinpointed Kokichi's vulnerabilities. However, Kokichi's true wish wasn't just to restore his body—it was for Miwa Kasumi's happiness. Kokichi deeply loved her but felt unworthy due to his physical condition. Only by regaining a normal body could he see himself confessing to her.

"I'm certain I killed him. This Geto must be a fake, possibly someone using a technique to control his body. Damn it," Gojo said after several deep breaths, his voice laced with anger. Suguru Geto had been his closest friend. Even after their ideological differences led them down separate paths, Gojo still considered Geto his best friend. The thought of someone desecrating Geto's corpse was intolerable.

After a moment of silence, Gojo pulled out his phone and dialed a number.

"Gojo? You're calling? Who's injured this time?" Shoko Ieiri's familiar voice answered on the other end.

"What happened to Suguru Geto's body after I killed him?" Gojo asked, his tone grave.

Ordinarily, a Special Grade sorcerer-turned-curse user like Geto would have had their body destroyed immediately after death to prevent it from becoming a cursed object. Given Geto's power, any curse spawned from his body would undoubtedly have been Special Grade.

However, Gojo, unable to bring himself to destroy his friend's body, had entrusted it to Shoko instead.

"Why are you asking this all of a sudden? Did something happen? Geto's body was taken by the higher-ups. They said they'd handle it," Shoko replied, her usual lightheartedness replaced with concern. She knew Gojo well enough to recognize the seriousness of his tone.

"I see. Be careful. Stay safe. I'll send the principal to check on you," Gojo said.

"Looks like this is a big deal. You be careful too," Shoko warned.

"Don't worry. I'm the strongest," Gojo said, ending the call. He then turned to Kokichi, pressing for more information about the imposter Geto.

"The situation is dire. Their plan is to turn the entire country into a haven for cursed spirits," Kokichi explained.

While the cursed spirits aimed to exterminate humanity and create a world solely for their kind, their capabilities were limited to Japan. Their influence wasn't nearly strong enough to threaten the entire world.

Although Mahito and the imposter Geto hadn't shared their full plans with Kokichi, his vast cursed technique, which could cover all of Tokyo, allowed him to deduce their intent. This incredible range made him a natural genius—comparable to Marvel's Daredevil, whose heightened hearing could cover half of New York.

"Thank you for saving me," Kokichi said to Daniel after relaying the information to Gojo. Surviving meant he still had a chance to be with Miwa Kasumi.

"No need to thank me. If you want to thank someone, thank Gojo Satoru. He sent me," Daniel replied.

"Enough gratitude for now. You're in deep trouble as it is," Gojo interjected. Kokichi's betrayal, despite his later attempts to fix

things, would not go unpunished. Given the corrupt nature of Jujutsu Tech's higher-ups, Kokichi's execution was a likely outcome.

"I understand. But before that, can I at least see Miwa?" Kokichi pleaded.

"Miwa, huh? I see. As for how we'll handle you…" Gojo began, but his phone suddenly rang. Principal Yaga's urgent voice came through the line.

"Come to Shibuya immediately. Something's happening."

"So it begins," Gojo said with a meaningful smile, hanging up.

"I'm coming with you," Kokichi said immediately.

"You? Fine. But you'll need a babysitter," Gojo replied, his eyes shifting to Daniel.

"You're really making me a nanny now?" Daniel sighed.

"Isn't it already obvious?" Gojo retorted with a smirk.
