Above the wilderness, ashes drifted in the air after the fires of calamity had burned, and the smell of scorched protein lingered all around.
Pandora emerged from the air, standing behind Luo En, looking at the blackened and lifeless earth below the mountain, her face full of astonishment:
"Did you kill them all?"
"They broke the agreement first; I merely collected the debt according to the oath."
Luo En cast a sidelong glance at Pandora, counterquiring:
"What? Do you pity them?"
"Not really, I wish for these ingrates to meet their end sooner than you do."
Pandora shook her head without hesitation, then asked in some confusion:
"But, weren't you planning to use them to enter Canaan and plant a stake within the Persian Empire's domain? Now that all these Canaanites are dead, won't it affect your subsequent plans?"
"Canaanites? Aren't there right here?"
