After an unknown duration of stalemate, the pursuer first extended an olive branch:

The fugitive readily agreed.
However, instead of slowing down, both parties moved even faster.
"We said truce, so why are you still running?"
"If it's a truce, why is the concentration of magic factors around you still increasing?"
"Well, it's because you're secretly chanting in Elf Language!"
"Aren't you drawing Runes behind my back?"
The teacher and student duo in mid-air looked at each other with a smile, embarrassed yet polite.
