"I heard you're an expert on Thainan?" Sostak No.3, arms crossed, looked at Jason, who was deep in thought with his hands on his head, and started making sarcastic remarks. Jason was deeply puzzled. The recent conversations with a few citizens led him to question—do I really understand Chinese?
Why does the Thainan language sound like inaudible waves that Jason cannot decipher?
"There's definitely something wrong. They don't sound like they're speaking Thainan; their accent is off." Jason said, looking at his companion.
"Yeah, something's off. I don't know what it is, but I just want to know when we can get some answers, and why do those folks you picked earlier seem not even to be Thanan?" Sostak No.3 said and turned to glance at a guy still selling fruit from a street cart not far away.
"Huh, he looks a lot like Mr. Meng and the others," Jason realized slowly, widening his eyes.
