This Demon Kingdom was indeed outrageous. Under its system of theocratic rule, its people seemed like madmen to outsiders. They possessed numerous forms of bizarre evil magic; moreover, their ideology, values, and other aspects completely differed from those of other regimes of that era.
They regarded death as glory, and dying for the Sacred Fire Sect was considered the highest honor.
They still maintained the tradition of living sacrifices, and, shockingly, the positions for the annual sacrifices were ones people actively competed for.
They had a strict hierarchical system: the top tier consisted of official members of the Sacred Fire Sect, the second tier comprised ordinary followers, and the rest were the other citizens of the Demon Kingdom, followed by people from vassal states around them.
And those outside of this were not even considered human.
