"Kevin?" Vinnie called out, forcing open his eyes as she continued to tap his shoulders. He propped up his body against the couch he fell asleep on, looking at Vinnie's blurry face as he glanced around the laboratory. "Huh?" he responded. "Your friends are in the central part of the city right now," she informed him, causing him to stumble off the couch and land on his head. "They made it here alive!?" he exclaimed, surprised. "How did they get past the border patrol? And where's Natalie?"
"Natalie's out in the city right now, and you got to the island illegally while they were the ones who actually took the tram here…"
Meanwhile in another part of the city, Natalie wore a thick, dark cloak as she continued to overhear the conversation between Itsura and a mysterious man on the radio, potentially possessing a higher-up rank in LUO than him. The heavy rain continued to make it harder to hear their conversation, but Natalie made out some words. "Since he didn't fulfil his part of the deal, on the side of your meeting with the Dreamalian government, I also order you to abduct Vinnie and bring her to Abufan Clouds, where she will be executed."
"Yes, sir," Itsura said obediently. "I will not disappoint yo-"
He spotted Natalie, who was unnoticeable due to the cloak covering her head, and she quickly scurried away back to the laboratory. "People are after Vinnie!"
Her rush back to the lab was interrupted by Itsura, who tripped her into a muddy puddle as he stomped on her back. "Looks like a kid listened to our little conversation and tried to get away with it. I know, you'll tell me to kill them, so why not do it before you say so?" His left leg lifted to his chest, aimed right toward Natalie's head. "Restoring order to the world is the motto of LUO, to destroy this world and create a new one!"
Volume 12, Chapter 6 - Order
His left leg lifted to his chest, aimed right toward Natalie's head. "Restoring order to the world is the motto of LUO, to destroy this world and create a new one!"
His leg was now rushing toward Natalie's head, but a sudden change in the pitch of the wind caused him to pass out almost instantly. Tofura, silently staring at Natalie, picked Itsura up and carried him back in the direction she was going. "Don't get yourself caught up in stuff you don't know, kid - because if we see you eavesdropping anywhere else, I'll put my heel right through your head."
She watched silently as they disappeared into the mist.
"HEY GUYS!" Kevin screamed, rushing across the street to greet his friends for the first time since his arrival. Everyone looked back at him, but Michael, Alex, and Gerald were the only ones who smiled upon seeing him in good condition. On the other hand, Samantha grabbed the back of Kevin's shirt and began to aggressively bonk him on the head. "What were you thinking, crossing the border like that!?" She lectured. "You could've died, and we wouldn't have known for a long time!"
"I'm sorry," Kevin pleaded. Samantha sighed, lowering him back on the floor seconds later. Her face then turned to Vinnie, who smiled at her as she looked back at Kevin and Gerald. "And you are?" Gerald asked, unamused. Vinnie looked back in shock, questioning Gerald's dryness as she continued to think of a sufficient answer that could explain everything. "Well…" Vinnie repeatedly stuttered, twiddling her thumbs as she looked back into Samantha's cold eyes. Victor, who was standing right beside her, walked over to Vinnie. "This is VInnie," he introduced. "She goes by Chaos Creator Vinnie, and is known for exactly what her name says."
"You should join Team ENTITY!" Kevin suggested out of nowhere. Everyone exchanged a malevolent glare at him. "We don't know if she's working for LUO, you idiot!" Samantha screamed, bonking him on the head yet again. "Oh, I'm not working for LUO," Vinnie quickly declined, pulling the jacket she had on over her head once again. "If anything, LUO took my father from me and almost took everything with him."
Samantha's formal frown turned to one of sadness. "What happened?" she asked out of curiosity. "They took my father, Vincent, away and said they would come and kill me if I left the island to go rescue him, which is why I've just been sitting here all this time."
Gerald's eyes widened in shock, his heart dropping out of his body. He remembered the pleading of the man he had defeated back in the Land Of Trila who also shared the same name as Vinnie's father, but it couldn't be - were these two people really the same?
Before Vinnie could continue to say anything, Gerald blurted out something that caused her heart to drop as well. "About a month ago, I engaged in a deathmatch with your father," he told Vinnie. "I had put my back into it, and I was the one who stood victorious in the very end." Vinnie turned away from everyone, propping her head up to the sky where the rain interacted with her soft skin. "The two things that rip families apart like mine are entities and organisations like LUO," she told all of them. "If we don't do anything, they're eventually going to take over the world and switch up the plans they promised to input when they fully rise to power."
"If LUO tries to pursue you next, we'll be sure to protect you," Kevin promised, holding his hand out to Vinnie, who began to shed dozens of tears. She gripped Kevin's hand, all of her hope going into his words. "I trust you," she said.
