"Captain, why are you so good to my sister?" Pei Donglai asked cautiously.
He couldn't help but ask. Lin Xiao treated his sister even better than he, her own brother, did. Pei Donglai was dying to know why, or more accurately, what Lin Xiao's intentions were toward his sister.
Lin Xiao chuckled. "Because Yanzhi is your sister."
Pei Donglai was stunned. He had thought Lin Xiao would give a whole list of reasons, but he'd never expected it to be something so simple.
"What, you don't believe me?" Lin Xiao asked.
Pei Donglai quickly shook his head. Of course he believed Lin Xiao. Given Lin Xiao's status and background, there was no reason for him to lie.
"Alright, stop overthinking it. Chu Xiangxue is coming back to the bar tonight. When she does, have Yanzhi come over and ask for her opinion. If Chu Xiangxue thinks it's a good idea, let Yanzhi give it a shot. There's no harm in trying, anyway."
Pei Donglai nodded. "Captain, I'll do as you say!"
