Inside his personal office Miguel was still trying to hack the phone and now thanks to him being forced to rest he managed to get some intel.
And the information were call and messages for a target that they want to capture. For what reason is unknown.
But currently the target is unknown because it still hidden by codes in the system.
Miguel: what the hell are you planning.
It was then that the door to his office opened and Thomas came in.
Thomas: anything?
Miguel: a few but unfortunately not a lot. Just a talk about capturing a target. I haven't decoted the phone yet but we at least know the name of this cult. Tringias.
Thomas: what kind of name is that? Sounds like a first attempt of saying triangle right.
Miguel: whatever the case is these guys have been under the radar and have caused some problems thanks to that.
Thomas: like that famous baseball player you found?
Miguel: yeah I'm gonna be honest I don't know whether his soul is even alive because lost souls are very active when spiritual energy is high or he was corrupted by his own hatred towards his killers and because a lost soul. The point is that we can't get answers from a even deader man.
Thomas: why don't you let the intelligence department handle this problem. You know that you aren't much of a hacker.
Miguel was quite for a while and he let out a sigh of defeat since he knew his own limits and not to men of computers.
Miguel: you're right guess I was so focused on finding out what these guys are planning that I forgot there a better department for this.
He closed his laptop after he saved the data and made a call to the intelligence department that he's gonna make a visit.
Thomas: sometimes you get lost in your own thoughts. You got to quit that habit.
Miguel: you know I can't help it ever since those two dies it distracts me from that.
Thomas: you mean your brother and Kevin?
There was a quite tension in the air and Thomas saw by Miguel's face that his eyes turned red.
But quickly Miguel just let out a sigh.
Miguel: yeah. Tommy and him were on a mission that went haywire. Both of them were killed and Kevin was still in the rookie program and Tommy was his senior and both of them were inseparable until that lost soul came out and killed both of them. And how Kevin was killed.
He remembered how that lost soul that was strong to the level of a lost knight mutalited Kevin both arms and legs ripped off and his head separated from his body.
Compared to Tommy who just died from rubble falling on him and bleeding out due to his injuries Kevin was more brutal and painful to look at.
And everytime Miguel thought of both of their deaths he gets the urge to vomit.
Thomas: I remember how when you found out you threw yourself in work and you pushed me and others away and it took you to almost die to get you back to your senses.
Miguel touched at where his neck where this prosthetic throat was.
He almost choked on his own blood when it was slashed he had to force himself to vomit out the blood in his throat to stall for help to get him.
When he received his prosthetic throat which saved him but now he had to take a swig of an electric cigar to relieve his build up toxic smoke.
He didn't smoke nor did he planned to but he guessed that fate was a bitch and he had to wear a mask to prevent his toxic breath from leaking. which at first it he had to get used to having it everyday even in his sleep but luckily he learned that if he put all of his toxic breath in cigar by the time it's morning he would have put his mask just in time for it to build up again.
But the only problem is that it chocked him a bit which makes since he is literally sucking out his own breath and at first he coughed a lot but he eventually got used to it.
Miguel: yeah. You know how people say that when you're near death you see your life flashes before your eyes? Well it happened to me and it made me realize that I was an asshole to all of you. I pushed Sophia away which led to us breaking up and now I have this. I honestly don't deserve her.
Thomas: hey come on at least you apologized to her didn't you?
Miguel: yeah but still. I was an absolute asshole and even though I apologized I still don't feel like I deserve her and not to mention my breath is toxic and we can't kiss for long.
Thomas: Miguel. You're beating yourself up too much Sophia still loves you for you just like I like Evelyn for her dispite having issues.
Miguel: yeah. She's infertile right?
Thomas: yeah. She can't give birth thanks to her being kidnapped by a cult of woman who tried to make her into a weapon.
Miguel: I remember when you and her first met she tried to kill you. It took for freya to develop a drug for her to recover her brain to get back at the cultist.
Thomas: don't remind me. I remember that she went absolutely ballistic and destroyed the cult. But after sometime she came on to me and we hit it well. Heh and the funny thing is that I thought that she was out of my league.
Miguel: yeah it took a lot for me and Jonah to convince you that she had feelings for you while you were still unconvinced.
Thomas: sue me. Evelyn was a beautiful girl and not to mention. I was pretty damn shy dispite my appearance when I was younger.
Miguel: shy? You?
Thomas: screw you Miguel.
Miguel: heh. We've gone completely off topic.
Thomas: yeah. Hey you hungry?
Miguel: yeah sure. But the question is who's paying?
Thomas: fine. I'll do it just to save us the trouble of us arguing and tearing our heads off.
Miguel: good idea.
Meanwhile at the abandoned warehouse
Edward was still decoding the the phone of the cultist and he was making progress but was also having trouble because these cultist were more secured than any other cult group.
And they were good at hiding their secrets.
Edward kept on tapping away at his computer but he was cut off when a cup was put next to him.
He looked up and saw maria who looked at him with a bit of worry.
Maria: eddy why don't you take a break? You locked yourself in for two days without eating or drinking anything.
Edward: I don't need to eat much since my body is enhanced.
Maria: still you can't just pull all nighters you're gonna burn yourself out before you get anything.
Edward: then who's gonna get the information out of this phone? Because as far as I know I'm the only one who knows how to hack.
Then Terry came in with hands in his pockets and he leaned on the table.
Terry: if you aren't going to drink your juice then I will take it.
He was about to grab it but Maria pinched his ear to tell him to back off.
Terry: ow!!
Maria: you already had your share t this one is for ed.
Terry: well you heard him he doesn't want it so I might as well have it.
Maria: do that and I'm pinching your ears harder.
That finally got the point across and Terry got back to what they we're actually talking about.
Terry: hey but seriously though Edd you have to rest.
Edward: no I don't.
Maria and Terry looked at each other and they decided to do it by force.
Terry walked to a shaded area and he sunk into the ground Edward didn't noticed completely focused on his work.
Terry teleported next to Edward's spot and grabbed the chair and he sunk it along with Edward who yelped but was cut off when he got suck inside his shadow.
Maria walked to his computer and put his data into a safe file and turned it off.
After sometime Edward was tied up with shadow tendrils restraining him while a holiday clone was watching him incase he tries to get away.
Edward: this is not funny guys
Yaku: suck it up man you need to take a break.
Raven: and we will tie you up if we have too for you to get the hint.
Edward: fine. But what is there birthday ornaments?
Maria: its Mary's birthday. She's turning 11.
Edward: oh so that explains the juices but where is Mary?
Yaku: my guys are playing with her and Tenno to keep away from the party until we get the cake.
Edward: that explains why Terry is out.
Maria: yeah he ordered a custom made one to make it more special for her since you know. Her condition.
Edward: yeah. So can you untie me? I'm not gonna run away to my computer.
Maria: fine but holiday will still watching you so that you don't go back and run yourself ragged.
Currently Terry was in the underground city where he has the cake in a box but he's in front of a back entrance to a private house.
This is from a father figure that took him in and taught him how to defend himself both with his own abilities and hand to hand combat.
And why was he here? Well the grouchy man has a hard head and he's stubborn so he decided to bring him in, to get him out of his house.
He knocked on the door and he immediately got a response.

Terry: I know you don't have a match today or the day after tomorrow you grouch.
The voice didn't answer this time. Instead footsteps were coming towards the back door and locks were being removed and once it was opened a literal stone humanoid was revealed with his right eye looking disfunctional.
This was sidian a mentor/father figure to Terry who is an underground fighter and one of the best.
He taught Terry how to fight by having him participate and watching his fights and mimicking his movements.
After a while Terry decided to go on his own and get his own objectives done.
But he's drops by once in a while.
Sidian: what do you want kid? Come to get some practice?
Terry: no. I came here to bring you to my place and celebrate Mary's birthday.
Sidian: the kid? Why would you want to come I'm not a party person and you know it.
Terry: because I know you have a soft spot for kids especially kids with issues.
Sidian didn't show it but he was blushing under his hard skin care while looking away and that was a win in his opinion.
Sidian: fine I'll go. Besides I was about to take a break from training anyway.
Terry: whatever you say d.
Sidian while putting on his suit he decided to ask on Mary's condition.
Sidian: hey how is the kid? Is she getting better?
Terry: she still doesn't show much emotion but I can tell that she loves me along with Tenno who is technically her but she's more like a twin sister.
Sidian: that's good.
After he put on his suit he gave Terry a serious look.
Sidian: you better protect that kid with every fiber of your being Terry she didn't deserve to go through something like that.
Terry had flashes of laboratories and a red liquid that was the cause of his appearance and people who were his family but they were gone.
He clenched his fist at the memory and he bowed to not loose anyone dear to him anymore that he had.
Terry: I would rather die than let that girl suffer like we did. And I will make sure that she has a bit of normalcy before shit hits the fan.
Sidian: good. Shall we get going?
At the garden area Mary and Tenno were playing with four creatures.
One was Kaminari the one that was guarding the entrance.
Takeshi a giant bird with a mask with a horn going to the side.
Kentomaru a giant chameleon with blue eyes and spotted black spots with white skin and a horn at the front of his head.
And Adachi a bear with green eyes a black spots on his body and a horn on the front like the others.
Kentomaru played hide and seek by camouflaging himself and the twins would have to find him.
Of course he suppressed his presence so that she wouldn't find him.
But Mary and Tenno was good at telling where he was based on how his camouflage form had a ripple effect.
Takeshi gave her a ride on his back and he flew off to let her get the feeling of flying.
That gave Tenno the idea to fused with Mary and she gave her black wings and they decided to have a race.
Adachi didn't do much aside from being a cumfy pillow for Tenno and Mary since both of them can't stay fused for long and it takes a toll on both of them.
Kaminari wasn't good with kids but he tired his best by talking to Mary who wasn't good at showing emotions but she confessed that she loved everyone that took care of her including them.
Which touched Kaminari's non existent heart but also Yaku his summoner felt it too since they were linked.
However when Terry came with the cake it was time for the suprise.
So all four of the summons got to work by blindfolding Both of them and guiding her to the main room of the place.
When she was told to remove it.
SUPRISE!!
Poppers went off with a cake with the numbers 12 on it.
And first the first Mary herself showed an emotion and that was a happy surprised expression.
Terry: happy birthday Mary and I brought uncle sidian to see you.
Sidian: don't call me uncle I may be a spirit but I didn't die an old man.
Before Terry could snark back he felt his waist being hugged and he looked down and saw Mary hugging his waist like a koala.
Terry: Mary?
Mary: thank you big brother.
Terry was a bit caught off guard being called big brother and it made him have a memory of a girl who was his sister and he called her big sis when he was younger.
Remembering that gave him the urge to cry tears of both happiness and sadness but he sucked it up and whipped his eyes to stop himself from crying.
Terry: anything for you Mary.
After that everyone was having a good time and doing some activities like playing the silent game
Where one person is blindfolded and they have to walk around while only relying on sound and hope that the other participant wouldn't get caught and shot by a fake gun.
Yaku unfortunately was blind enemy.
And Terry pulled a dirty move on Maria by calling her phone and she lost but she swore revenge on Terry.
It was now the evening and Terry was sitting on a pipe and watching Mary try and hit a piñata while blindfolded and he was smiling beneath his mask.
Maria: you sure went all out for her huh?
She joined in on the seat and looked at the scene.
Terry: yeah she reminds me of myself when I was ill and I had my sister and a good doctor that tried to help me.
He looked at his grey skinned hand and clenched it out of frustration.
Terry: but that got both of them killed thanks to those bastards and now. I'm this. Not just me but the rest of the guys.
Maria put a hand on terry's shoulder to show him that she supports him.
Maria: I'm with you after all if you saved most of us. And I'm glad that you remembered Mary's birthday.
Terry: of course I did. After all. She's like a little sister to me.
Maria: I can see that. She doesn't show emotion. But I can tell by her body language she really does love you.
Terry: yeah I know.
Maria then got up and brought a piece of cake to Terry.
Maria: wanna?
Terry: oh no. I'm fine I'm not much of a cake guy anyway.
Maria: mmmm. Too bad.
Terry: why do yo-
Before he could finish Maria planted the plate of cake to his face and after the crushed cake feel off his face he blinked a few time and looked a Maria who had a victorious smirk.
Maria: consider that payback for the quiet game.
Terry could have argued back but honestly this was justified so he just said.
Touché.
Meanwhile in an abandoned church in the forest under it was a room full of tringias cult members were inside a room filled with computers to get information on their target while they were doing that 3 hooded figures were were watching them expecting results.
But the doors opened and two members bowed I respect.
Tringias members 1: we found the target but there's a problem. An exorcist in training is with her.
Tryon: are they strong?
Tringias member 2: we can't be sure but with him around it will be a problem.
Tryon: thank you for the information you may leave.
With that the two leaves and Tryon turned to his two partners.
Tryon: well this is a bit trouble some.
Red haired one punched his hand to his palm to show that he was up for the challenge.
Tiro: let me at him I will get rid of the pest for you.
Tryon: temping but let's save your strength for another plan I'm brewing in my head.
Elizabeth didn't say anything but her expression was that of a question.
Tryon: thanks to the spy inside EXO we know that they are planning another training for the rookies. So I'll explain the plan when I have something brewing in my head.
He left the room and went to his private room and he took out a capsule with pills and he swallowed it down and he felt pain on the side of his chest.
He removed his clothes leaving him in his pants and with his chest bare a scar with black marks were becoming smaller while still pulsing.
He looked at the mirror and removed who gave him this scar and it was the brat he that went berserk and nearly took his side at the cost of leaving a mark that I slowly killing him.
But he made a deal with fellows that said that they can minimize it till they can find a permanent solution but currently he can only survive with the this for a week.
But he won't forget the brat that scared him and will bow to get his target and no one will stop him on bending things to his will.
