Chapter Start - Downtohell 1 - Gate of Hell

Two Gates of Justice, seemingly ten thousand feet high and piercing the clouds, slowly swung open... The battleship slipped through the gap between the gates, sailing toward the depths of Impel Down.

......

"Woooooah…!!!"

Liam shouted, while Robin chuckled softly inside her bubble beside him, her hair whipping in the gale.

The roller coaster at Sabaody's Paradise Park hurtled along its long tracks, accelerating and decelerating, soaring up and plunging down.

In the bubble culture, even the roller coaster seats were made of bubbles, specially reinforced with safety bars to secure passengers.

Despite this, the violent twists and turns sent most passengers screaming with their eyes shut.

What truly shocked everyone was the tall young man wearing brown sunglasses. Instead of sitting properly in his bubble seat, he leaned out, hooking his feet around the metal safety bar inside the bubble...

Click, click, click... The roller coaster climbed to the peak of the slope, its speed gradually decreasing...

But just half a meter ahead lay the most thrilling part of the ride: the "cliff"...

Yet the young man remained there, one foot planted on the guardrail and the other hooked beneath it, standing rigidly in full view of everyone.

Just watching him was terrifying!

The woman beside him was still laughing, laughing and laughing! What was so funny?! Her face was full of indulgent amusement! Someone stop his reckless stunt!

This is dangerous…

Whoosh!

The bubble roller coaster plunged downward, its speed skyrocketing!

"Ah!"

From the passengers' perspective, they were practically plummeting straight toward the ground.

"Aaaaaah...!"

The passengers screamed in unison, some bursting into tears, others fainting from fright.

"Hahaha... Riding the roller coaster like this is so much more fun!"

Meanwhile, Liam hung upside down in a "golden hook" position, his body horizontal and vertical, one foot hooked on the bubble's guardrail, arms outstretched as he laughed.

He was certain that if this were a video from his past life, the comments would be flooded with exclamations like "His core strength is insane!!"...

...

"Incredible core strength! To hang on to a roller coaster in that position..."

Inside and outside Paradise, a Marine monitoring the two members of the JoJo Pirates gazed up at the roller coaster whizzing past. Amidst the screams, the figure perched so conspicuously on the speeding vehicle was so out of place that he couldn't help but murmur in awe.

His colleagues stared too, grumbling, "They're actually playing around..."

"They're really getting into it, those two pirates..."

Standing stiffly among the resentful Marines was a tall figure in black armor, arms crossed, also looking up at the passing roller coaster. Unbeknownst to them, he couldn't see it at all.

One Marine sighed, "It does look fun... If I had the day off, I'd definitely take my girlfriend for a ride..."

The other Marines immediately turned to him. He asked curiously, "What? Isn't it obvious that Jolyne Cujoh is Giorno Giovanna's girlfriend? It's so obvious..."

"You little..." They pounced on him ruthlessly. "When did you get a girlfriend?!"

"Quiet down!" A Warrant Officer leading the team barked, stopping them. "Giorno and the others are getting off the roller coaster. Follow them."

The Marines halted and, sure enough, saw Giorno Giovanna pull the female Captain seated beside him off the roller coaster at the ground platform and toss her onto his shoulders. The two walked away, laughing and chatting.

They headed toward the carousel area...

"They're still playing?!"

The Marines sighed and quietly followed them.

...

"They're back again..."

Robin sat on the carousel, swaying gently as it spun. "Not just from that direction, there are Marines by the exit too..."

No one knew how many flower-like eyes she had grown in the hidden corners of the amusement park, watching everything like countless cameras.

On the carousel next to her, Liam sat cross-legged, arms crossed. Long Arm reached over and ruffled Robin's hair, chuckling. "Why are you always so tense? You're at Paradise, you should relax..."

Robin, spinning sideways on her horse, gave him a half-amused, half-mocking look.

"You've already called me 'Dad,' so what's wrong with me doting on my precious daughter?" Liam shrugged, suddenly intrigued. "Speaking of which, if..."

Robin clamped a hand over his mouth, pushing him away with a blush.

Seeing the usually composed Sister Robin flustered and blushing was a rare sight, and Liam burst into laughter.

Robin pushed up her amber sunglasses, sighing with a wry smile.

...

At Paradise, Marines hurried past, their faces grim and cautious.

Many tourists sensed something was amiss.

"The Marines seem really tense... Did some dangerous beast sneak into Paradise?"

They exchanged uneasy glances.

...

Drop towers, swinging pirate ships, spinning teacups...

Wherever Giorno Giovanna took his girl to play, Marines in the crowd would hurriedly follow...

Watching the couple having a blast while they, the miserable, sweat-soaked grunts, could only lurk in the crowd, keeping a close eye on them and silently seething with envy, the Marines felt bitter to the core.

Meanwhile, as the number of Marines increased, so did the conflicts with tourists.

The sudden surge of Marines in Paradise clearly signaled trouble, and besides, not everyone had a favorable opinion of them to begin with.

...

"If they just declared war with guns blazing, I wouldn't really mind..."

In the trampoline area, where the crowd bounced up and down like beans in a pan, Liam and Robin held hands and soared high.

In the bubble bumper car area, Liam and Robin each drove one. The bumper cars here were even more fun and challenging than the ones he'd played in his past life, because the cars were bubble-powered, meaning... they floated!

The flat-plane bumper cars had been elevated to three-dimensional, space-filling combat.

In the vast, open bumper car arena, dozens of bubble cars flew and tumbled, crashing and bouncing amidst the tourists' laughter.

Liam's car collided with Robin's. He glanced out the window and grinned. "But starting a war here? I doubt even Marine would want to do that..."

Only someone as stubborn and iron-willed as Akainu, who, fourteen years later, would have the audacity to move Marine Headquarters to the entrance of the New World, completely abandoning his post as Marine Fleet Admiral of the Sabaody Archipelago, could possibly pull off such a move in Marine history…

...

"This is private property! What do you Marines think you're doing barging in here?!"

At the entrance to Paradise, the manager was furiously berating the Marines. "You've scared all the tourists away!"

The Marines' faces darkened, and one snapped, "We have the right to search anywhere on the archipelago."

"So you're just going to ignore the rules? You know we contribute to the cost of your operations, right?!" The manager lowered his voice into a cold sneer, spitting with even greater intensity as he planted his hands on his hips and glared. "If there are pirates here, just drive them into the No. 29 zone! The rest of Sabaody Archipelago... is absolutely 'safe,' completely free of danger. That was our agreement, wasn't it?"

The Marines exchanged bitter smiles. Weren't they currently in the process of "driving them away" with their large, quietly gathered force?

Under normal circumstances, anyone who discovered the Marines' movements would have long since slipped into the Gray Zone within No. 29, leaving the Marines free to ignore them and go about their business.

But the problem was, Giorno Giovanna and his woman completely disregarded the pressure they were secretly applying!

Could it be...

That those two pirates hadn't even noticed the Marines quietly closing in?

'Pah!'

'Bullshit! Who would believe that?'

If Giorno and Jolyne were really such pathetic pirates, they would have swarmed them and taken them down long ago. Why would they be holding back like this?

But the wicked Giorno Giovanna! The wicked Jolyne Cujoh! They simply looked down on these Marines.

Still... a man with a bounty of 400 million and a woman with a bounty of 300 million...

They did seem to have the right to be arrogant…

...

Sabaody Archipelago, Paradise… Haunted House

A pair of narrow, glowing white eyes materialized on the wall.

"Ah!!!" The staff member dressed as a ghost screamed loudly, triggering a chain reaction of terrified screams from the others inside the Haunted House.

The black battle armor passed through the wall and floated beside Liam's body, watching the staff members panic in front of him and Robin.

"Shh..." Liam raised a finger, smiling at the staff member who clearly recognized him and Robin. "Play your ghost role well, okay?"
