"Hey, that Rokushiki move you use to measure combat power, how exactly does it work?"
Pirate Giorno stood on a massive boulder with his hands in his pockets, looking down politely. His tall shadow loomed over the silent Fukurou.
Fukurou sensed overwhelming danger. Without hesitation, he launched the first strike.
"Shigan, Beast Fang!"
Instead of using a finger, he delivered a Shigan with his fist. Fukurou's punch, carrying tremendous force, slammed into Pirate Giorno's chest.
Pirate Giorno's expression became serious, his brows tightly furrowed.
Crack, Fukurou's fist bones fractured, and his arm bone nearly snapped.
"Hmm… your combat power…" Liam muttered in annoyance, "I didn't feel a thing. And there's no system or anything, how are you supposed to get actual numbers?"
Tekkai?! His Tekkai is this strong?! Fukurou was horrified. Enduring the pain of his broken arm, he roared:
"Tekkai, Jewel!!"
He spun like a massive top, using Rokushiki Soru-level speed while maintaining a full-body Tekkai. All of his Doriki focused into a single point, enough power to smash through a city wall.
Bang!
The spinning Tekkai crashed into Pirate Giorno, only for Fukurou to rebound violently, blood spraying midair before he fell toward the treetops, "Wah!"
On a tree branch, Fukurou jolted awake, feeling as if his whole body had shattered.
With his comrade knocked out and hanging from a tree in the blink of an eye, Blueno's face sank like water. He spoke slowly:
"Pirate Giorno… we didn't provoke you. Why attack us?"
"Are you sick? He clearly hit me first!" Liam jumped down from the boulder, still with his hands in his pockets. "And I didn't even fight back. How is that me attacking you?"
Blueno fell silent. As government agents, they were enemies of pirates by nature. And a pirate suddenly following them, what good intentions could that possibly mean?
Fukurou acting out of nervous reflex was not unexpected. They simply couldn't beat the man.
"Since that's the case, I apologize on his behalf," Blueno said, watching Giorno walk toward them.
"So you hit someone, and you think you can just end it with that?" Liam stopped right in front of him.
The energetic young man with bull-horn hair was over two meters tall, not inferior in size at all.
To face the pirate who had overshadowed Big Mom's daughter in the Sword Hero Tournament, challenged Hawk-Eyes himself, and made his name known across the world, Blueno could feel that pressure up close.
No wonder the Shichibukai Crocodile was chased across the desert by this guy…
Just as Blueno braced for a life-or-death clash, the pirate simply said:
"You can punch me, too. Go ahead. Try."
Blueno was silent for a moment. Then he clenched his right fist, gathered Tekkai, and swung with full force.
"Tekkai, Break!"
His arm trembled. It didn't feel like punching a person, but like striking a sheer mountain wall. His strength vanished like mud sinking into the sea, without the slightest ripple in return.
Blueno's eyes snapped open. Terror lingered in his gaze as he gasped for breath. The metallic taste of blood filled his nose and mouth.
Dried blood stuck to his cheek as he pulled himself upright, rolling his aching body until he could finally sit up.
Then his pupils contracted, Rob Lucci was standing nearby, a white pigeon perched on his shoulder.
Fukurou sat off to the side, face full of shame, resting weakly.
"You're awake, Blueno."
Lucci's expression was gloomy as he looked toward Jabra, still unconscious and slumped beside a bloodstained boulder.
"How is he?" Blueno asked.
"Pretty badly hurt. Don't move him." Lucci replied. "He's a Zoan. Let him recover on his own and wake up naturally."
Blueno nodded and asked no more.
"So, what happened?" Lucci continued. "Why did you end up fighting that Pirate Giorno? One man… did this to all of you?"
Blueno fell silent, remembering the terrifying strength he had experienced before losing consciousness.
In a bitter voice, he said: "Chopper-na Giorno… there is no way he's just a {400,000,000} Belly pirate. The Marines must be wrong."
Lucci glanced at him.
"There are rumors he has powerful Haki. But…" Blueno struggled to speak. "He defeated all of us effortlessly using only Rokushiki. And not just that, his mastery of Rokushiki is far beyond ours. His Soru was so fast we couldn't even see it. His Tekkai is harder than steel. And he can maintain Tekkai even while moving…"
"I used Tekkai Jewel on him," Fukurou said with a bitter smile. "But I was the one knocked out by the rebound. I don't even know if he was hurt, or if he really meant it when he said he couldn't feel my strikes at all…"
Lucci said nothing.
A pirate from the first half of the Grand Line… could someone really be that strong?
Just then, in front of the massive boulder still splattered with dark, dried blood, Jabra suddenly coughed a few times and slowly regained consciousness.
Seeing Lucci before him, and the equally exhausted and injured Fukurou and Blueno, Jabra froze for a moment, then the memories of what happened came rushing back…
Dog-Dog Fruit: Wolf Form!
Jabra let out a furious roar as his entire body shot upward, his frame swelling and becoming massive like a living mountain. He entered his strongest combat state, a half-man, half-wolf hybrid form.
Against this pirate, I have to go all-out from the very first move!
"Blueno!!" Jabra howled, lunging forward to aid his comrade who was being overwhelmed.
Liam, still holding the bloodied Blueno by one hand, turned his head, only to see a hulking werewolf barreling toward him with claws outstretched.
Shigan, Five Shigan!
The giant wolf claws, each tipped with a jet-black talon gleaming like cold iron, slashed toward Liam.
Liam simply reached out with his free hand and caught all five claws.
Jabra's full-speed charge came to an abrupt stop, held in midair with nothing but one arm. The rebound force sent ripping pain through Jabra's muscles, yet the pirate's arm holding his wolf claw didn't budge an inch.
What shocked Jabra even more was that he never even saw when Giorno moved, nor when he caught the attack.
Then, a sharp burst of pain erupted from the trapped wolf claw. Jabra howled, his knees involuntarily buckling.
Liam pressed down on the claw, his palm like a steel bar, and grinned: "Your doggy claws are kinda cute."
With a low snarl, Jabra was forced down, BAM, onto one knee.
Still gripping Blueno with his other hand, Liam swung him like a baseball bat and smashed Jabra away.
Blueno hit the ground, struggling to rise, but a crushing force slammed into his chest, Liam's boot. Blueno's back was pinned flat to the earth. No matter how hard he widened his eyes or strained his muscles, he couldn't move an inch.
The werewolf Jabra, having been swatted away like a ball, charged again.
Tekkai, Wolf Bullet!
Similar to Fukurou's Shigan, Beast Fang, this was a Tekkai technique executed through the fist.
His steel-crushing wolf fist tore through the wind with a howl and slammed straight for Liam, but Liam met it with a punch of his own.
Bang!
Pinned on top of Blueno and in a stance completely unsuited for punching, Giorno still matched the Wolf Bullet head-on. Jabra was stunned to discover that his own fist and arm were now completely numb, hanging limp and twitching uncontrollably.
"Consecutive normal Shigan," Giorno said calmly at point-blank range.
Before Jabra, still suspended in midair from the clash, could react, Giorno raised a single finger. It split into countless afterimages, pouring down on him like a torrential rain…
