A Marine officer stepped forward, standing beside King and loudly declared, "These two are pirates with bounties over 100 million! They are cruel criminals during their wicked acts! Every Marine branch and every Allied Kingdom member is obliged to arrest them!"
"Bounties that high?!" Cavendish suddenly heard this news, feeling as if he had swallowed a ton of lemons, so sour it was unbearable. Bounties of 100 million, 200 million Belly, such bounty announcements would surely spread to every corner of the seas, right? That would attract so many eyes and gain so much popularity! But at the same time, he also breathed a sigh of relief, thinking, "So that's what kind of pirates you are. Scaring these Marines so much, no wonder you're so formidable..."
"Now answer me, Prince Cavendish," The Marine officer shouted up loudly, "What is the relationship of these two pirates to you? What exactly is your connection with them?"
The Marines all raised their guns sharply, aiming at the few people on the rooftop.
"What business is it of yours what my relationship with them is!" Cavendish growled, baring his sharp teeth, and with a clang, drew his long sword. "So many guns, who are you trying to scare?"
Bang!
Before he could finish his sentence, he felt a sharp pain on his face, he was hit with a heavy punch.
Originally tense because of Cavendish's words, King and his guards, as well as the Marines, were all shocked to see that the tall pirate on the rooftop, taking advantage of Prince Cavendish's angry shout, suddenly punched Prince Cavendish in the face.
In a "Whiz," Prince Cavendish turned into an afterimage, knocked off the rooftop with one punch, crashing into a large group of guards and Marines below.
"You are talking way too much." Liam shook his fist, then casually grabbed Marian and lifted her up by the edge of the eaves.
The crowd below gasped nervously, "Hey! What are you going to do?"
"So they're really pirates..."
"How wicked! To treat a little child like this!"
Marian blinked at him as Liam held her out over the rooftop.
Liam winked at her, then released his grip.
A sudden shout rose below. Some guards and Marines rushed forward to catch the little girl.
In the moment just before Marian hit the ground and was about to get injured, a dark shadow flashed across her.
Bang!
The guards and Marines clumsily bumped into each other in panic, unwilling to watch the girl fall and bleed from a head injury... but no sound of impact came. When they opened their eyes, the little girl was already standing on the ground, perfectly unharmed!
"Thank goodness, no injuries..."
"Amazing! Little younger sister."
The guards and Marines all breathed a sigh of relief and gathered around Marian, seeing she was truly unhurt, feeling very grateful.
It was the robot elder brother... Marian ignored them and looked up to see the dark battle armor drifting beside Liam and Robin. Its narrow, white-glowing eyes glanced down at her once.
"Think you can catch me with just this ragtag bunch? Who do you take me for!"
Liam, with Robin and Koala, leapt high from the rooftop. Under the shocked gazes of the Marine soldiers and palace guards looking up, they were actually walking in the air, like flying.
"Send an Admiral here, that'd be more appropriate..."
Looking up at these two pirates brazenly trying to escape, the Marine officer shouted, "Open fire!"
"Bang bang bang!"...
A barrage of gunfire sprayed up from the ground, converging on Liam and the others flying through the air. But it had no effect. The three didn't slow down at all. Instead, the soldiers firing the guns were now filled with terror...
"Keep firing!!" the Marine officer urged urgently.
"Senior officer..." came a soldier's sobbing voice nearby. The officer turned his head and immediately saw a bizarre and terrifying scene, the soldiers were all turning their gun barrels around and stuffing them into their own mouths!
These soldiers were the most terrified. After firing their guns, the barrels suddenly seemed uncontrollable, slipping from their hands, flipping around, and the smoking barrels were shoved directly into their mouths...
In that instant, many Marines thought this was their final moment, never expecting to end their lives in such a strange way, swallowing their own guns. After a while, realizing they were still alive, they hurriedly pulled the barrels out and collapsed on the ground, some so scared they had even wet themselves.
"What exactly happened..." the officer muttered to himself, then suddenly looked up to the sky, "No... did they do something?"
Is this the power of pirates with bounties over 100 million?
Even gathering one of our branches combined with the forces of Burujoya Kingdom, we couldn't even delay them for a moment to wait for Headquarters' reinforcements!
"Ugh..."
Cavendish groggily regained consciousness.
"Fourth prince, you're awake!" came the guards' relieved voices.
"Glad you're okay," King said, also relieved to see his eyes open.
"..." After opening his eyes, Cavendish felt a burning pain on his face. Startled, he jerked awake, pulling a delicate little mirror from his pocket.
"My face… That damn Giorno!" He looked into the mirror, staring at his swollen and reddened handsome cheek, hissing with cold breath through clenched teeth, "I'll never forgive him!"
Hmm, can't beat him now, but I'll get him later...
King and the guards looked at him speechlessly...
Soon, Marian pushed through a crowd of concerned Marines and walked up to Cavendish, tilting her head to point toward the rooftop.
Everyone looked up and saw a person there, a woman who looked pitiful and helpless. Presumably, like the prince and the little girl, she was another innocent civilian taken hostage by those two pirates... Oh right! Those two pirates even kidnapped a girl! How wicked...
"Where are they?" Cavendish asked.
"They left..." King and the Marine officer both looked up, their voices strange, "They just flew away like that..."
Flew away? Cavendish stared dumbfounded, his mouth wide open. Imagining such a scene, he felt a surge of hatred. That flashy way of leaving must have attracted countless admiring eyes again! So jealous!
...
Not long after Liam and Robin left Burujoya Kingdom with Koala, news of the undeniable "comeback" of the two pirates Giorno and Jolyne quickly spread across the seas...
New World, Cake Island,
Katakuri twirled a candy between his fingers, wrapped in a wide scarf, legs crossed in his studded black leather pants, expressionless as he flipped through the latest newspaper.
Chopper and Giorno...
Just glancing at the photo in the news, the distant figures of Giorno, Jolyne, and a small silhouette flying through the sky, Katakuri quickly turned to the next page.
Only pirates who survive entering the New World deserve more of his attention.
