Chapter 7 - chapter 7

Eliana's heart raced as Ryker led her through the charming streets of the town surrounding the castle. He pointed out hidden gems and shared stories about the local history, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. As they turned a corner, he wrapped his arm around her, his fingers intertwining with hers. "So, Eliana, tell me more about yourself," he asked, his eyes gleaming with curiosity.

Eliana hesitated, unsure how much to reveal. "There's not much to tell, Your Majesty," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.

Ryker chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Ah, but that's where you're wrong, my dear. There's something about you that draws me in." Eliana smiled politely, her heart fluttering in her chest. "You're kind, Your Majesty," she said, curtsying her head.

Ryker raised an eyebrow, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Kind? I'm many things, Eliana, but kind is not one of them. At least, not usually." They walked in silence for a moment, the only sound being the soft rustle of their footsteps on the cobblestone street.

"So, what do you like to do for fun?" Ryker asked, his voice low and husky. Eliana paused, wondering why he wanted to know more about her. But she answered, her voice barely above a whisper. "I like to read."

Ryker smiled, his eyes lighting up with excitement. "A bookworm, eh? I like that. I'll show you my library someday." He stopped in front of a beautiful shop, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Ah, perfect timing! You need a dress for the ball tomorrow night."

Eliana's eyes widened in protest. "I'm sorry, Your Majesty, I have enough—" Ryker raised his hand, his fingers brushing against her lips, silencing her. "Nonsense, you need a dress, and I need an excuse to spend more time with you." He grasped her hands, his fingers intertwining with hers as he led her into the opulent shop.

The doorbell above the entrance rang out, announcing their arrival. Eliana's eyes widened as she took in the lavish interior, her gaze sweeping across the white and dark green décor. The air was thick with the scent of luxury, and the soft rustle of high-quality fabrics seemed to whisper secrets in her ear.

"Welcome to 'Midnight Elegance'," Ryker said, his voice low and husky, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "The finest dresses in the land, crafted with precision and beauty."
