Coming to the edge of the pool, Lin Moyu saw that the pool was not large, just five meters on each side, with a shallow, still surface.
It looked like water, but it wasn't water it was pure, concentrated power, refined from the Bug Stele until only the essence remained.
This power contained no Dao, so anyone could absorb and use it.
Lin Moyu understood that if he entered, his power would surge, and he would have no problem advancing to the peak of the Chaos Realm.
However, Calamity Supreme did not force him and left him the choice.
If Lin Moyu disliked absorbing external power, he could simply abstain.
No matter how thoroughly refined, external force still carries another's mark especially power from the Bug Stele, which bears the imprint of the Golden Sun Sovereign. This may seem irrelevant most of the time, but in certain situations, it could be troublesome.
The energy had already been refined to an extreme Lin Moyu saw there were just two more steps to perfection.
He said, "Let's purify it."
Chaos Child responded and flooded the pool with the Water of Purification.
With its cleansing power, any lingering will in the pool was thoroughly erased.
As the purification continued, Lin Moyu's keen senses noticed subtle changes certain things were erased, but the difference was slight and anyone else wouldn't perceive it.
The pool's level seemed to drop by perhaps one thousandth just the bit that had been purged.
Now the water was even purer, the very essence of essence.
But that wasn't enough. After the Water of Purification, Lin Moyu brought out the Celestial Jellyfish, using its divine water to flush the pool once more, dissolving all surplus impurities.
In terms of purity, nothing matches the Celestial Jellyfish and now the pool shrank further, to about eighty percent of its former volume.
The remaining liquid no longer looked clear, but shone with a faint golden light, seemingly reaching some pinnacle.
Lin Moyu could faintly feel a kind of ancient, primordial power.
"This... this is true essence," Lin Moyu muttered.
Little Tree said, "That's the Origin Qi of Heaven and Earth second only to Primordial Heaven Qi."
Chaos Child added, "After we absorbed Primordial Heaven Qi long ago, the power left in the Chaos Primal Wilderness was Heaven and Earth's Origin Qi. Back then, the primal chaos' power was pure, not full of countless different Dao like today."
"In this age, perhaps only Master can condense Heaven and Earth's Origin Qi," Chaos Child said, still flattering him, while Little Tree expressed nothing but disdain.
Lin Moyu said, "Since it's Heaven and Earth's Origin Qi, let's absorb it together. You both could use some recovery."
Chaos Child cheered, "Really? For us?"
Lin Moyu smiled, "I don't need much just a little to break through. The rest is yours."
Although he'd extracted such rare essence, Lin Moyu had no desire to absorb it all.
He was already at minor accomplishment in Chaos Realm, just a hair away from completion. He would only take enough to break through, keeping his foundation stable and boosting his power greatly.
The rest, Little Tree and Chaos Child could have though not abundant, it would aid their restoration.
With the Hidden Spirit Pearl, even if they both fully recovered, as long as they didn't leave the soul world, not even the "Dao" would notice. They could afford to be bolder.
Lin Moyu began absorbing the Origin Qi. As it entered his body, it rapidly transformed into his own power and merged into his soul.
He could feel his cultivation rising swiftly, so much so that it shocked even him.
The speed was tens of thousands maybe hundreds of thousands of times faster than normal.
A year's absorption here would equal tens of thousands, or hundreds of thousands, of years of regular cultivation with Chaos Qi.

He had advanced to Chaos Realm completion, but externally it just looked like he'd barely entered the stage no one could tell his foundation was absolutely solid.
Unlike others, he didn't need centuries or millennia to stabilize his new level.
As soon as he broke through, he was already solid and could wield all the strength of his new realm.
"Your turn take it slow and don't rush," he said to the others, sitting by the pool to contemplate the changes that came with peak Chaos Realm.
Little Tree and Chaos Child were careful, absorbing only what they needed, knowing that the Hidden Spirit Pearl wasn't fully refined and it was wise not to go overboard.
A root from Little Tree reached out to absorb the Origin Qi. Chaos Child began pulling in wisps with his own power.
Both of them were cautious, just as Lin Moyu anticipated.
Lin Moyu examined his own changes. After reaching Chaos Realm completion, his power was much stronger but the change wasn't as striking as the simultaneous strengthening of both body and soul.
All his undead followers grew stronger too their levels now just surpassed his, nearing the middle completion of Chaos Realm.
If he used Ascension, they'd rise to top completion of Chaos Realm.
The next level, Perfection, was still out of reach in the chaotic void; there was no domain to support it.
Yet Lin Moyu had a trick: with Primordial Heaven Qi, he could shatter this boundary.
And he had no shortage of Primordial Heaven Qi whatsoever.
With a thought, he sent some Primordial Heaven Qi out to the chaos beyond the Grand World, letting his undead followers bathe in it.
Their strength did not actually increase, but certain limits were shattered for them.
