Chapter 4148 - 4148

Chapter 4148: Time to Deal with You

Lin Moyu stepped through the Gate of Eternity and vanished from everyone's sight. The Eternals in the Hengduan Mountains were left dumbfounded, too shocked to speak. They could sense that someone new had entered the Origin Land it was Lin Moyu. Yet they couldn't fathom how the process of knocking on the Gate of Eternity could be so simple.

Everyone present had once knocked on the Gate of Eternity. Back then, the Origin Land hadn't been closed, and the gate wasn't hard to open, but it was nothing like Lin Moyu's experience he just strolled in as if returning home. They had all struggled greatly to force open the gate and achieve eternity. As for the Human Emperor, his ordeal was even more harrowing; even now, recalling it, he felt a chill. If he had to do it again, he wasn't sure he'd succeed.

But Lin Moyu had simply pushed the door open, an act beyond belief.

After a long while, the Human Emperor finally said, "This is just… just…"

He stammered, unable to find the words.

The Old Yin Head remarked, "Comparisons are infuriating. Other than those eight, Daoist Lin is probably the most relaxed one to ever do it."

The Lord of Power said, "Daoist Lin is truly extraordinary no wonder the Candle Dragon thinks so highly of him." His words resonated with everyone.

An Yuyan was the happiest of all, clenching her fists and whispering, "He's finally returned to eternity."

Within the Origin Land, Lin Moyu felt the familiar aura, as if reuniting with an old friend his Immortality Dao. Was this a return? In a sense, yes, but Lin Moyu felt it wasn't quite that simple. The feeling was strange and hard to describe.

His Dao power was transforming, growing stronger and more refined. The Immortality Dao seemed to be remaking him, strengthening both body and soul. At the same time, Lin Moyu saw things hidden within the Immortality Dao. Every Dao has branches, and those who cultivate the branches are subordinate to the main Dao and its master. For Eternals who achieved their Dao from the main source, their influence extended not only to their own Dao's cultivators, but also to all those of the branches.

But the Immortality Dao appeared to have no branches. Yet now, Lin Moyu saw them countless branches deep within the Immortality Dao. Each branch was an independent Dao, simply not yet spread out, hidden within the Immortality Dao itself.

He didn't look closely, but even a glance revealed some familiar Daos: Destruction Dao, Slaughter Dao, Hell Dao, Life Dao…

Lin Moyu felt as if he'd glimpsed a new world, shattering his previous understanding.

The Immortality Dao contained the two most fundamental forces: life and death. Its death force surpassed even the Human Emperor's Destruction Dao, while its life force was stronger than the Life Dao. When a Dao contains other source Daos within itself, what does that make it? The Immortality Dao was no longer a single Dao, but a conglomerate of Daos.

Lin Moyu realized his understanding of the Immortality Dao and of this world was far from complete. How had the Immortality Dao appeared here out of nowhere? Why was he the only one able to comprehend it? Why had he crossed into this world? These mysteries alone were enough to keep him searching.

At that moment, the power of the Immortality Dao began to flow into the Great Thousand World, activating the hidden Daos within and infusing their power into the world as well. The Great Thousand World grew stronger, and so did Lin Moyu even as an Eternal, his cultivation was still limited by the world's strength.

He could clearly sense that the Daos hidden within the Immortality Dao were similar in name but different in substance from those of this realm, and in many ways, they were stronger than those of the Five Realms. With their help, the Great Thousand World was undergoing a fundamental transformation.

Lin Moyu reflected on this process, deepening his understanding of the Immortality Dao. The life and death forces within it seemed to be the root of all other source Daos: death could give rise to Destruction Dao, Slaughter Dao, and so on; life could evolve into the Life Dao and others. In a sense, the Immortality Dao was the source of these other Daos a level above them.

The Immortality Dao existed at a level higher than the entire realm. A phrase popped into Lin Moyu's mind: a chaos level Dao. With this realization, everything became clear. The Daos comprehended by the living beings of this world were realm level, belonging to their own heaven and earth. But the Immortality Dao came from outside the realm, from the chaos itself, on par with the power wielded by the great sovereigns of other heavens.

Understanding this, it was only natural that the Immortality Dao encompassed the other source Daos.

"So that's how it is!" Lin Moyu murmured.

With the Immortality Dao, Lin Moyu also figured out a few more things. Only he could comprehend the Immortality Dao it had come to this world not by accident, but by design. His crossing into this world was also no coincidence, but inevitable. The Immortality Dao was prepared for him alone.

Whether this was due to something about himself or another reason, he couldn't yet say. Perhaps it was related to that red gem, which contained a system that had greatly aided him at the start of his cultivation. Without the system, he might not have come this far. The green robed elder's special treatment of him might also be connected to the system.

But why had the system chosen him? Did he have some special identity? Why did the runes feel so familiar, so easy to master?

In the end, Lin Moyu arrived at two likely answers: First, he might be the reincarnation of a great power, perhaps a sovereign of heaven and earth, which would explain the green robed elder's attitude they might have been Daoist friends. Second, he could be a pawn of the green robed elder, who was orchestrating everything from behind the scenes.

Both were possible, but he'd need to become stronger to find out. For now, at least, the green robed elder showed no malice toward him.

After a while, the Immortality Dao's power calmed, the Great Thousand World was much strengthened, and Lin Moyu's own level within eternity rose. He didn't check his techniques outside the Gate of Eternity, the Candle Dragon was still waiting, and there were many stepping stones waiting for him to deal with. It was a good chance to see just how strong he'd become.

Lin Moyu had a feeling there would be surprises.

He stepped out of the Gate of Eternity, which vanished like a mirage. The Candle Dragon said quietly, "You're done? Then I'll be going."

Lin Moyu asked, "Aren't you going to watch?"

The Candle Dragon, with a touch of pride, replied, "I can see it."

With that, he closed his eyes and was gone. This time, Lin Moyu no longer felt the world spinning. Still, the world darkened for a moment when the Candle Dragon closed his eyes, it became night; that was the rule. But as an Eternal, Lin Moyu was no longer affected.

The Dao Wild Beasts were affected, taking two or three seconds to recover.

Lin Moyu swept his gaze over them. "Time to deal with you."
