Chapter 11
Before they could decide what to do,the sprite let out a screech then it summoned two clones which attacked instantly.
Drake dodged left, barely missing a strike that left a black scorch mark on the ground. One of the clones headed towards Caleb while launching attacks,Caleb countered with bursts after burst of attacks but they were fizzled middair by the clones attacks.
"They're too strong" Justin shouted while barely dodging an attack.
"Yeah we noticed", they shouted back.
"Umm,let's attack it together while Justin distracts the clones if the main body dies the clones would too" Drake suggested and the trio agreed and swung into action.
Sprinting in front of the clones he managed to draw their attention by zapping their butts repeatedly then they chased him angrily-
"Yo,hurry up I can't hold these things forever", Justin screamed as he dogded around avoiding attacks.
Drake activated his insight skill-the improved version which made enemies movement appear clearer and ,sharper in his vision. Focusing on the sprites movement,he finally saw it,a pause between it's attacks.
[Skill activated: counterstep]
Drake side stepped just as the sprite lunged forward,-
"Now!!" He shouted.
Caleb unleashed his strongest spell searing the sprites chest and weakening it's shimmering barrier, then Drake slashed with the short blade he'd gotten from the armoury which left a deep gash on its chest then attacking on that same spot the sprite finally died then it dissolved into light particles.
One of the clones had caught up to Justin and was about to slash him with its claws when it disappeared.
"Okay, that was close"
"Yeah", Drake agreed." We almost died".
A shimmering chest materialized where the oversized sprite dissipated. Then drake stepped forward and tapped it.
[Loot acquired: Emberfang dagger- Rare(fire attribute, +20 damage to enemies weak to fire)]
Loot: sprite dust×3
Bonus reward: 20 silver coins.
Justin whistled," That dagger looks insane, don't tell me it's stronger than my sword"
"It's stronger than all our weapons" Drake said slipping it into his inventory. He made a mental note to check what would happen to it when he logged out. His system had a wat of keeping certain things in the real world.
The quest completion screen popped up:

"Alright", Justin said finally relaxing."we head back,sell the loot,and log off for the day"
"Fine by me",Caleb agreed.
Drake kept his thoughts to himself,he had a dagger to test.....in both worlds
