She busied herself getting dressed and ready.
Er Bao, perpetually unsatisfied, asked San Bao to go clothes shopping with her.
San Bao glanced at the clothes strewn all over the bed and floor and hesitated.
"Second Sister, I don't think the clothes are the problem. I think you are," she said.
Er Bao refused to admit it. "What could possibly be wrong with me? These clothes just aren't worthy of me. I need new ones."
"Second Sister, are you nervous?" San Bao asked.
Er Bao glanced at her, avoiding the question with one of her own. "If Shao Yang were taking you to meet his parents, would you be on edge?"
San Bao thought for a moment. "I wouldn't!"
Startled by San Bao's conviction, Er Bao asked, "Why are you so sure? It hasn't gotten to that point yet, so how could you know?"
