Lin Feng got up and prepared breakfast, calling the kids twice before they dragged themselves out of bed. Accustomed to sleeping in, they still found it difficult to get up so early.
"You're almost late. You only have twenty-five minutes to wash up and eat."
After saying this, Lin Feng took a tray of breakfast to Zhang Yuxi. When he went downstairs, he saw the kids were nearly done eating and reminded them, "Put your bowls and chopsticks in the kitchen."
"Alright, grab your backpacks and head to school."
The kids shouted up the stairs, "Mom, we're off to school!"
Zhang Yuxi, having hurried through her morning routine, replied, "Mom and Dad will take you to school together."
It was the first day of school, so she couldn't very well stay in bed. She gave Lin Feng a slightly petulant look, as if to say, This is all your fault!
