Lying in bed, Xu Yulan blushed uncontrollably when she heard Liu Ergou humming a little tune. The song he was humming was hardly a proper one. Although she wanted to stop him, she felt so weak that even speaking was a strain.
Liu Ergou, meanwhile, planned to go to the kitchen to make a bowl of brown sugar water for his sister-in-law. She had sweated so much during the massage and needed to rehydrate. Hearing the incessant honking, Xu Yulan couldn't help but groan quietly. She said nothing, however, and patiently waited for it to end. To her surprise, the honking showed no sign of stopping; it just kept blaring on and on. This was enough to annoy even the normally good-tempered Xu Yulan.
