In worse scenarios, they might even attempt to eat one another.

First, he sent a group of kobolds and ice wolves, who weren't actively involved in construction, into the surrounding forests to hunt deer. The captured deer would be released into a forest enclosed with fences and hunted periodically to keep their population under control.
