Sebastian pulled to a stop infront of the Med centre , Staring up at the third floor towards the room he knew decard to have been checked in to .
Stepping off of his bike , Sebastian ran his finger across its surface " Wait here until I return "
A deep bark responded as he stepped away , Adjusting the hem of his shirt whilst maintaining a decent pace towards the entrance to the medcentre.
" Ah " He stopped momentarily , Allowing the traffic infront of the Med centre to pass quickly before crossing.
" Halt " Sebastian continued to look down towards the ground , Only raising his face once the red key broke onto the Med centres subnet .
" Step aside ... I have business with the director " Sebastian all but commanded , knowing the guard was currently scanning him to discern his identity .
" Ah ... apologies ser " The armed security guard stepped to the side , Leaning over and pushing the door open to allow sebastian entry without any resistance.
" My thanks " Sebastian adjusted his cufflinks , Nodding to the guard before stepping into the hospital lobby.
[ Security feed high-jacked, feeds corrupted and face has been scrubbed from any recoverable data ] Sebastian smirked slightly , now nobody would be able to discern his identity , His face would appear as nothing but a blur in any feed , His most commonplace action apon entering any subnets vicinity.
Approaching the front desk , Sebastian drew the attention of the nearest worker.
Putting on a charming smile , Sebastian regarded the woman who responded.
" Hello sweetheart , I'm here to see one of your residents " Sebastian's orange optics came to life as the woman found a rather not so small amount of eddies transferred directly into her account " Officer decard Martin, I believe he came in early today "
" Ah of course sir ... " The attendant reached down and pulled out an access card for him to use " Here's your level threw access card , elevator is to your left have a nice day "
" Thank you " Sebastian took the access card from her fingers , Turning to the left and walking straight towards the elevator .
" Hey " The receptionists friend leant over and whispered to the lady that had given him the access card " You think we should call security "
" Nope ... " The receptionist replied " only two kinds of people come into a hospital asking for someone that's under security... a very shitty assassin ... or a corpo with a whole lot of pull and no worries about the likes of us ... someone like that obviously falls into the latter , you see how the guard simply let him in ... id rather not get in his way "
" Ah ... good point " Her friend simply leant back up and went about her day , Both pretending to know nothing about the man they allowed entry into the hospital.
...THIRD FLOOR...
Stepping out of the elevator into the third floor corridor, Sebastian zeroed in on the allocated room. Weaving in and out of hospital staff and attendees whilst he eyed the location he knew the suspect to be.
' What is this ' Sebastian came to a stop infront of the door , Seeing attendees tending to and cleaning the room , making it ready for the next patient .
" Excuse me ... I was here to see decard Martin... can you point me to where he is thank you " Sebastian got one of the attendees attention , Receiving a saddened from the man .
" Officer decard was declared deceased thirty minutes ago ... his colleague couldn't bare with it and departed ten minutes ago ... if ... if you want we can take you down to see him " Sebastian's pupils narrowed at what he heard , Eyes dancing over everything and everyone in the room , Scanning everything within tensely .
" I would appreciate that " Sebastian stepped out of the way to let the attendee walk by , Turning and following the man closely as they moved to the elevator .
" Please ... can you tell me how he died " Sebastian asked as they stepped into the elevator.
" Well ... I wasn't personally there . But early this morning Officer Martin experienced cyberware malfunctioning requesting in traumatic brain damages followed soon after by complete brain death " The man took out the datapad held under his armpit , bringing up the file pertaining to Officer decard , Showing the file detailing everything that lead to decard ending up on the cold slab in the basement of the hospital.
Reading the file , Sebastian had the key access the hospitals camera, Verifying the face decard had been taken out of his room into emergency surgery when his cyberware began to malfunction.
' Interesting , there are gaps in the feed ' Sebastian chewed his lips .
" Is this hospital in need of repair ... I noticed some of the cameras not working on my way up here " Sebastian probed , Rather forward but the attending nurse nodded anyway .
" Yea ... Everynow and then we get someone that goes off the rails. Security has to neutralise them but the damages remain ... takes a long time for repairs to be made you know " The nurse affirmed , Taking the datapad back from Sebastian as the elevator chimed.
" Officer decard is just up ahead " They appeared in the hospital basement , specifically where they kept the deceased patients on cold storage whilst they were stripped of cyberware before being turned over to wherever their destination after death was .
Walking through the cold grey corridor , They came into a room of rows of rows of morgue like storage shelves , each one designed to freeze the deceased patient .
" This one here " The nurse unlocked the door and pulled the body that was decard out , A sheet covering the corpse before that was peeled away to reveal the face of decard.
" I'll go get his retrieved cyberware " The nurse turned away , Leaving the storage as sebastian crossed his arms and began to perform scan after scan on the body before him.
He stared down at the body , uncrossing his arms and planting them on the cold slab , Fingers dancing across the cold surface of the slab the corpse was sat on . Several stitches lined the body , Cyberware completely removed from the body for repurposement.
The same nurse camjng out with a bag of sealed cyberware , handing it off to sebastian for him to analyse .
The red key scanned everything present in the bag , An electronic burst pulsing through the bag as he downloaded all the data housed on the inert cyberware.
' That's... not right ' The cyberware within was old ... yes ... obviously having been used by someone , but didn't match the data they contained .
[ Detecting data pertaining to red optics initial release series number #04 serial number XXXX-XXXX-XXXX - Analysis indicates said data has been clopied and transplanted into detected optics systems ]
' I knew that series number was familiar ' He held up what he now knew without hesitation to he a fake , The optics were a copy ... anyone not familiar with the particular data housed within along with their origional source would no doubt have missed it .

[ Locating red optics initial release series number #04 serial number XXXX-XXXX-XXXX ... Located ... currently travelling through Westbrook at sixty kph ... tracking ... ] A digital map display opened over his eye , dropping the bag of cyberware on the ground and Storming out of the morgue ...

" We're almost there D " Terry observed decard lowering himself into his seat , Hiding from view with a hoodie covering his face " Relax , We'll be fine "
" Just ... let's speed this up " Decard mumbled , Sinking deeper into the chair .
" We'll get you outta night city , I've got a contact meeting us outside of the city ... he's part of a nomad clan ... they'll take you in ... help you dissapear " Terry assured his childhood friend.
They drove through the Santo Domingo highway on their way out of night city , The two rock formations standing on either side of the highway signifying their impending exit from night city.
" What if ... " Their conversation was cut off , By a suddenly swerving car Slamming into the passenger side door .
" WHAT THE HELL " Terry cursed out loud , Watching the car that had hit them spin out of control behind them , Throwing up a smoke scream " Fucking crazy asshole "
" Ah T " Decard sat up , Directing Terry's attention to the other traffic around them .
" WhAAAT" Terry slammed the breaks and turned the wheel , Swerving their car out of the way of a bus driving in the wrong direction.
" FUCKING HELL " The bus continued on behind them, Yet Terry didn't look back , Instead he focussed on three more incoming cars coming off of the onramp .
" They don't have drivers " Decard whispered, They swerved onto the wrong side of the road , Swerving through incoming traffic even as the other cars attempted to cut them off .
" You know what " Terry joked hastily as he rejoined the correct side of traffic , Passing the onramp as two more driverless cars roared behind them in hot pursuit " I think they're onto us "
The two pursuing vehicles pulled up on either side of the Cruiser , Slamming into its sides , attempting to squish the car between them .
" FUCK " Terry sudden twisted the wheel to the right, causing the car on the right to slam into the highway barrier , Dislodging it and leaving it behind .
The last one was quickly dealt with , As Terry used the impressive power found in his cruiser to push the unmanned vehicle on his side to be run off the road .
" Few " Terry sighed as he watched the two pursuing vehicles seemingly give up , Reactivating where they came to a stop in the rearview mirror " You reckon that was the last of em "
" Accually ... " Decard looked up in the rear view mirrow as the smoke screen from one of the cars behind was suddenly parted by a very intimidating motorbike roaring dramatically in their direction " I don't "
" And that's them " Decard grabbed the pistol from his belt , Opening the window and leaning out , firing at the pursuing bike .
His aim was immaculate , On target to the millimetre.
' Die ' Decard scowled, Only for his pupils to dilate as the pursuer visibly leant to the side , Dodging the bullet even at high speed ' That's.. not possible '
Feeling something akin to panic , Decard promptly unloaded the rest of his ammo in the direction of the bike rider , Each bullet simply being either ducked under , Swerved by or simply plucked from the air by a visual blur if the man's hand ' That is ... inhuman '
Ducking back into the car , Both Terry and decard noticed the bike was still gaining on them .
" What the hell is that bikes top speed " Terry felt like whistling but refrained in the tense situation .
They were already pushing the cruiser to its top speed , Flying across the ground as the road below visibly blurred , Yet the bike still gained on them as if they were sitting still .
" BRAAACE " decard cried as the bike suddenly lurched forward , Rearing up on its rear tire in a wheely .
Decard ducked as Terry shielded his head , As the back window of the cruiser exploded inwards as the bike slammed into the back of the car , it's wheel lodging into the window .
" Get ... off .. my " Terry began to violently swurve the car from side to side . The bike was promptly dislodged , Yet they were quick to spot the lack of rider with the bike.
" TERRY HE'S " A fist burst through the roof , Grabbing decard by the bottom of the head and dragging them up , Slamming his head into the roof.
" Get the fuck off my car " Terry grabbed a gun from his glove box , Aiming up and shooting through the roof , Bullets holes opening up in the ceiling .
The hand Grabbing onto decard let go as he fired , The culprit suddenly Swinging from Terry's unguarded left , breaking through the vehicles shielded window and striking Terry in the face .
" You " Terry's Jaw throbbed as he tried getting a good look at their attacker , Only to be met with a pixilated bkur in his vision when his eyes landed on their attacker.
Scanning Terry, Sebastian quickly came to the conclusion that the officer was not the one that housed the AI or even infected by it , And so , He chose to focus solely on decard , Eyes narrowing in on the ai who had levelled a gun with his head.
" Hm " Sebastian smirked and grabbed the wheel , Shrouding himself in a thin barrier via the MR , He twisted the wheel .
Several bullets struck the magnetic barrier , Terry and decard attempting to either punch or shoot Sebastian off of the car .
Sebastain scanned the car , And with a quick hack and a tug of the wheel , The world flipped as the car promptly rolled on its side , Throwing Sebastian from the car several tens of metres away as part of the cars roof was peeled off in his grip .

" fuck " Terry , Bleeding from his brow , coughed violently , Unbuckling himself and dropping to the roof of the upside down car " D ... "
He looked to the left , Seeing decard had been thrown from the car and was now embedded in the gravel of the badlands .
" D " Terry reported from the crashed car , Rushing over , Leaning down and rolling decard over " Still alive ... thank God "
Sebastian rose in the distance, Dusting his shirt off as he sat up " That was ... more intense than I thought it would be "
He shook his head and zeroed in on Terry and decard , Meeting Terry's gaze as the large man visibly panicked.
" Fuck " His hopes of the pursuer being killed were dashed , and so he slung decard over his shoulder and began a dead sprint for the meeting point.
Sprinting across the gravel , Terry opened up a holocall " Its Terry, We've got a problem... you got my coords ... "
The call cut out not a second later , Turning to static right before the wreckage of his own NCPD cruiser slammed down infront of him , Throwing him off course to avoid Slamming into the crumpled wreckage.
Roused from his unconscious state , Decard threw himself from Terry's shoulder , Landing in a huff just as the piece if debris Sebastian had been holding onto blitzed past , Cutting through Terry's shoulder and continuing on like some demented Frisbee.
' That would have killed me ' Decard looked back , Seeing the pursuer simply walking after them , Not running or showing any distress ... simply walking towards them.
" I don't think we're outrunning this guy T " Decard slowly rose from the gravel , With Terry Growling and turning to face Sebastian, Fixing the pixilated man with a fierce challenging glare.
" I don't know who you are " Terry simply ripped his NCPD uniform right off his body , His muscles visibly Flexing as he smashed hsi fists together " But you picked the wrong target buddy "
Cracking his knuckles , Terry broke into a dead sprint towards their attacker , The gravek on the ground spreading as his Quaking footsteps dispersed the gravel below.
" YAH " Terry appeared before the pixelated man , Gorilla arms activating as well as his berserk activated in tandem .
His being bulged under his skin as the air visibly distorted .
Sebastian diverted the punch , Leaning back and guiding it past and into the ground below , Bouncing up , Sebastian rounded , Landing a devastating kick to Terry's skull , Knocking the man to the side as he landed.
With Terry momentarily indisposed. Sebastian leapt foward towards the still Fleeing decard , The ai vessel having run to the top of a mound .
' Nice try ' Sebastian dissapeared in a blur of movement.
" DECARD " Terry cried out as he saw their attack vanish .
Reaching the top of the mound , Decard looked back at Terry's yell .
The world around him blurred as a crushing pain assaulted his Torso.
Sebastian , Having closelined decard with a burst of his sandevistan , He dragged decard some metres through the air , Raising him up before harshly Slamming the vessel into the ground , The earth underneath shaking under the strength of the slam .
Blood erupted from decards mouth , Yet it didn't give up, It struggled in its attackers grip. Punching with all its might into the man's head , Even attempting to unlease quickhack and deamons into the attacks systems .
' No ' Decard cried out in thought as he felt the deamons be neutralised even before they could be implanted .
" AAAHHHHHRRRGH " Terry leapt over the dirt hill , Raising his hands overhead in preparation to slam them down apon Sebastian's back .
' This is ... ' Sebastian leapt away from decard , Watching Terry land protectively over his downed colleague.
" GET OUT OF HERE DECARD " Terry roared , Pulling out a combat knife and Leaping directly at sebastian once again .
' amusing ' Sebastian reached up and pushed the blade off course , right hand Slamming into the crook of Terry's arm , before said arm was folded.
" Argh " Terry cried out as sebastian pushed his own blade into his shoudler after folding his arm inwards .
" Stay down " Sebastian grabbed Terry by the neck and threw him away back into the dirt hill.
" No more games ... Perish ... "
Sebastian simply pointed at decard who was running once more towards the roadside , The MR activated in his chest as a pinpoint blast of magnetised energy lurched forward , a near invisible phenomenon that caused a shimmering mirage in the air . It struck Decard in the arm , Tearing the subdermal armour from the flesh , Severing the metallic muscle structure clear from the shoulder down whilst the rest of the arm was literally shredded before decards gaze , falling to the ground beside him in scraps .
" NO " The raging Terry appeared , Bursting forward with thunderous steps , Sprinting across the sand and throwing a desperate haymaker at their attacker .
" You're getting in the way " Sebastian ducked under the haymaker ,Reaching uo and Grabbing the knife in Terry's shoulder , his Legs tensing as the reinforced muscle fibres tensed together , Before he was kicked in the stomach with enough force to turn stone to dust .
" BLURGH " Terry was launched back , Blood exploding from his shoudler as he was folded like a sheet around Sebastian's foot , flying back away from Sebastian and decard .
In the seconds that had passed , decard had abandoned his arm , continuing to attempt to flee across the badlands , Yet as fast as he ran , He would never be able to escape Sebastian's reach .
Sebastian once more activated his sandy , clearing the distance between the two near instantly as he thrust his hand forward and directly into decards spine .
" AAHHHH " Decard cried out in pain , Freezing up as surges of electricity flowed through his body .
Gripping decard by the spine , Sebastian began to raise decard into the air , pumping the ai with more and more electronic currents through his fingers .
" You thought you could come here " Sebastian threw decard down into the ground , Rounding and kicking the vessel in the head , Blood splattering into the ground.
" Killing anyone you so desired " Sebastian reached down and tore a chunk of hair from decards head followed with several pieces of skin .
" That humanity " He threw away the bloody chunks , his fingers reaching down into the open skull , Grabbing the top of decards spinal column .
" Was something you had any right to rule over " He crushed the connection between brain and body , Tearing several spinal disks from the back of his neck .
" You thought wrong " Sebastian reached around , Fingers Sinking into decards eyes to physically rip his optics from his face.
" Humanity is ... " Sebastian tore decards other eye from its sockets Tossing the optics into the gravek to the side .
" Mine " He rolled decard onto his back , One hand Grabbing the bottom of decards Jaw and the other clasping the top of his chest.
The eyeless decard stared up with the open skull clear as day .
" And the next time your kind tries this ... " Sebastian began to slowly pull the skull from the body, The seams of the skin over decards next visibly beginning to strain , Of course he didn't put too much effort into it , he wanted the ai to listen.
" To step into my world " Sebastian began to slowly apply more pressure , Visible tears opening up on decards neck .
" You shall all ... meet the same fate "
About to pull decards head clear from his body , A thunderclap was heard over the hills . Sebastian's head Snapping up as he flashed , letting go of decards head to catch a 50. Bullet that was about to impact exactly where his head had been not a fraction of a second earlier .
' Hm more distractions ' Seberal nomad cars leapt over the dunes , Forcing Sebastian to leap back as high calliper bullets wizzed by .
Jumping out of the car , A young nomad woman landed beside the near decapitated decard .
" You're with Terry right " The native American nomad yelled out , Watching decards mouth move but make no noises .
" Shit , CAROL WE NEED TO GET HIM BACK TO CAMP NOW " Gun fire erupted, Yet Sebastian didn't break off , Instead his movements began to blur , Arms flashing to catch or push incoming fire off course , And he advanced .
" WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS GUY " Scorpion yelled out , Struggling to look through his scope , Much like everyone else, attempting to look apon Sebastian caused excessive migraines .
" PANAM GET HIM IN THE BACK , WE GOTTA GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE " Ellie cried , Ellie opened the back of her car , Allowing panam to raise and push the mutilated decard into the back.
" WHAT ABOUT TERRY " Mitch looked around ,not seeing Terry nearby since he was on the other side of the hill .
" He has to have gotten away ... we have to go " Panam cried out. Raising overwatch and shooting Sebastian.
Catching the bullet, Sebastian spun and tossed the bullet back at its sender , Striking panam directly in the shoulder.
" FUCK " Her jacket was shredded. Her cried demoralising the aldecaldo's .
" We got what we came for .. let's go " Scorpio made the call , unleashing cover fire at sebastian as the Nomads scurried to get back into their vehicles.
Sebastian didn't both running after them as their vehicles kicked up a screen of dust .
[ Target vehicle located ] The key highlited the vehicle decard was being transported away in .
' My desire to keep civilian harm to a minimum can no longer be prevented ' His optics narrowed, A link between the red key lurching forward and to breach Ellie's truck.
' Goodbye ... decard Martin ' A shockwave expanded outwards as the truck exploded into a fireball . The doors visibly exploded from the vehicle. The windows exploding and melting as the wheels flee away , Leaving the superheated remains to slam to the ground .
[ No life signs detected from decard Martin... Target neutralised ] Sebastian didn't wait any longer , Knowing Terry was rising over the hulking behind , and the aldecaldo's coming to a sudden halt at the sudden explosion of one of their trucks. Sebastian activated his sandevistan , Sprinting straight for night city and away from the scene.

" ELLIE ... ELLIE NO " Panam jumped from her truck .
" PANAM NO " Scorpio tacked the native American woman from touching the raging inferno .
" LET ME GO BRISS SHE NEEDS ME " Panam cried out , Reaching towards the inferno as the other aldecaldo's hopped out of their trucks and rushed towards the wreck.
" I SEE SOMEONE " One aldecaldo braved the fire. Shielding his eyes before gritting his teeth and reaching into the blaze , Pulling out a flaming body from the wreck .
" FUCK HELP ME " Mitch removed his jacket and began to hastily smother the fire , The brave aldecaldo letting go of the body dragged out , mitch continuing Beating the last locks of flame off .
" Its ... " The body , Very obviously male and missing an arm , Well not obviously. The whole body was charred , blackened to a crisp with nary any form of flesh remaining .
" No " Panams face contorted once more , Fresh tears running down her face as she fell tonthe ground and began ti cry into the gravel .
Reaching down , The body was hot to the touch , Mitch gently touched the body's neck. Closing his eyes and cringing , Hanging his head as he prepared to give the bad news .
" He's... " The body which had no heartbeat , no signs of life. Not even any electronic signature , lurched upwards , Convulsing under his touch as it took in a desperate breath of air.
" ALIVE , BOB LOAD HIM UP AND GET HIM BACK TO CAMP , HE NEEDS EMERGENCY TREATNENT NOW " Mitch yelled out. Bob rushing forward, stuffing what little remained of decards body into his truck before peeling off , Tearing across the dirt in less than ten seconds.
' That's one tough son of a bitch ... hopefully he makes it , I... Ellie can't have died for nothing ' An explosion from the flaming vehicle dragged Mitch's gaze from the departing bob , Instead he looked towards the weeping panam and the mourning aldecaldo's.
' We're gonna have to break the bad news to Saul '
