Hey guys sorry for not updating til now, I've been getting distracted by both life and adhd, so I'm going to use the time I got to write this chapter, this will go into details on why the arrows became part of the world, and why they were abandoned.
———————————————————————————————————-
"The history of duel monsters and fate?" Kai a said with a haughty snort as he turns around, "I only came here because you said there was a card that's more powerful than exodia." He states as he starts to walk off.
"Hold it Kaiba" I say as I turn to Ishizu, "is this history lesson tied to this card, as well as why these arrows exist?" I ask in an attempt to keep Kaiba here, and I see him stop midstep as he turns to us both, and Ishizu nods at me before turning to the slab with the arrows, "indeed, these arrows hold a history just as important as the card I have in my possession." She says as she points to my necklace.
"You see, In ancient times the cards the public are fond of were very much real, and unfathomably dangerous, they terrorized farms and villages, the people were defenseless, until one fateful day." She began as I listen to every detail, while Kaiba stood there, still scowling at Ishizu.
"A meteorite fell and landed outside the town of Nepthys, causing a stir in the town. Word traveled like wildfire, and the rumors of a "fallen star" caught the attention of an Egyptian priest who was searching for a way to combat the monsters that plagued the land."(Ishizu)
"And with his guards, the priest set out to the village of Nepthys, and on this journey, he was approached by an old hag named Enyaba, she claimed with the help of the village, she would forge the fallen star into an item, an arrow that granted the people powers."(Ishizu)
(Hey im curious, im trying to make the whole story without it being one long ass paragraph, is the spacing alright?)
"Well what happened during the time the arrow was being made?" I ask Ishizu, as Kaiba took a seat, "what load of crap." He scoffed, "the concept of magic and Fate aren't real." He says to us as our host chuckles, "to answer your question Jonah, the young pharaoh had a bad feeling of the arrows, and he was right." She answered as I nod.
"The night the arrows were made, the village was attacked by bandits, who sought the power the arrows held, and in the hag's final moments, placed a curse upon anyone who touches the arrow."(Ishizu)
"The village was laced to waste as the bandits passed around the golden arrows like medals, taking the Hag's curse as a joke…but little did they know, the curse was very much real, during the night an inexplicable fever plagued the bandits as their body's were covered in bloody ulcers and tiny rotting holes, and it was in the morning the priest saw the bandit leader raise his hand into the air as his body combusted, turning into a flaming bird, who would later be named the phoenix of Nepthys.(Ishizu)
The pharaoh who hear the report from one of the soldiers that went with the priest , ordered all the arrows to be destroyed, not knowing that during the process of their destruction, one of the soldiers got knicked with the arrow, and survived the curse, unknowingly creating a monster by the name of Gilgamesh."(Ishizu)
(Not fate Gilgamesh! Like the demon Gilgamesh)
"Wait, I thought that the arrows didn't work?" I said with a frown as Kaiba scoffed, as a man of science he refused to believe the idea of curses, even though the saw bandit Keith get a magical rewrite on his ability to lie?
"The arrows did work, remember the bandit leader? He was the first case, it was believed that those with exceptionally powerful souls would be able to wield the power of the arrows, but the mortality rate as astronomical, so the pharaoh destroyed the arrows, and with the help of his royal advisor, created stone slabs that sealed these monsters away." Ishizu finishes.

Well folks im going to stop here in terms of writing this chapter, my adhd is acting up and I'm starting to lose interest, so im making this a two parter.
But besides that did I make this lore believable? Because I wanted to have the arrows be part of the story while also adding jojo's lore to ancient Egypt.
But besides that I hope you all enjoy this chapter and I'll see you next time, peace😁✌️
