Hogwarts.
When Andy returned to school, he couldn't help but feel a little emotional.
It's hard to be a good person!
If a bad person does one good thing, it will arouse the goodwill and favour of many people. But if a good person does one bad thing, people will never let it go.
Did Dumbledore do something wrong?
From a behavioural perspective, nothing at all!
But the wizarding world is still swarmed with rumours against Dumbledore.
Many people questioned Dumbledore.
Scrimgeour and Snape were just two of them.
It must be hard.
Dumbledore has it hard!
Andy felt a little sorry for Dumbledore.
He is old, but still has to work hard for the peace of the wizarding world.
But after working so hard for most of his life, he is met with the doubt and questioning of everyone.
It's horrible!
It's just cruel!
Of course, Andy is partly to blame for this.
But Andy has a clear conscience.
The Dumbledore he knows, in reality, is completely different from the Dumbledore he has maliciously projected in his mind.
Andy has maliciously projected Dumbledore in his mind, only to explore the possible connection between love and death. If Dumbledore dies for love, maybe he can see through the truth of death.
"Hey!"
Andy shook his head.
Wizarding world is completely hopeless.
It's best to let them fend for themselves.
What's the point of Grindelwald's efforts?
After thinking about it, Andy still felt that it was best to be self-oriented.
If you ignore worldly troubles, you naturally won't have any worries.
***
After dinner, Andy found Harry.
"Harry, let me ask you a question."
Outside the castle, Andy asked him straightforwardly, "Do you remember how it felt when the Dementor extracted Voldemort's remnant soul?"
"Er..."
Harry was taken aback. He had almost forgotten about it.
After a moment of recollection, Harry's face twisted in confusion as he frowned in thought. "I remember... Professor Dumbledore explained it to me, patted my head, and then..."
"And then... I don't remember much else."
"I remember a Dementor appearing; I felt a little cold, and my happiness faded away in an instant as if something had been torn from within me..."
When he got to this point, a look of confusion flashed in Harry's eyes.
"Then I fainted."
"When I woke up, Professor Dumbledore told me that everything was resolved."
"And..."
"Well...that's about it," Harry concluded.
Sure enough!
Andy's eyes flashed with understanding.
Judging from the way Harry had been acting, Dumbledore must have done something to him.
Dumbledore probably didn't mean any harm; he was just trying to hide something.
Hide what?
Was it related to the Dementor's Kiss?
Andy remembered the book's description of the Dementor's Kiss:
The Dementor's Kiss will not kill you, but it is worse than death. Only your brain and heart will continue to function, without a sense of self, without memories, and without the ability to feel anything.
In other words, after the soul is extracted, the body would not necessarily become lifeless. It would continue to function, albeit with no sense of self.
On the other hand, when the soul leaves the body...
Well, the result can be glimpsed in a ghost.
After the soul leaves the body, apart from the fact that it is not made of flesh and blood, it would appear no different from a normal person.
Ghosts have memories and can think.
"Hmm..."
Andy mused thoughtfully.
In this magical world, the soul is the essential force that controls the body.
Without the soul, the body doesn't even have a memory.
In other words, the soul is 'me'!
And the body... is just a shell!
The Imperius Curse proves this.
However...
Although a soul may have magical powers on its own, it cannot use magic.
Voldemort's wandering soul needs to absorb life force to regain some strength.
So... the body is where the soul is born!
The soul can live forever.
The body will decay.
The soul's destination is the death dimension.
The body's destination is to decay and rot in the real world.
Thinking about these questions, Andy felt a little dizzy momentarily.
There are many questions, but he can't grasp the key point.
Andy lacked the most crucial piece of evidence!
And the evidence...
Where did the souls taken by the Dementors go?
Were they absorbed and digested?
Or sent to the death dimension?
It was well known that Dementors fed on happiness, and they only needed to absorb the happiness of humans to sustain their lives.
Dementors did not have an insatiable thirst for souls.
'So... I have to see for myself!' Andy thought to himself.
What Dumbledore wanted to hide could be found after witnessing the scene of the Dementor's Kiss.
Thinking about this, Andy felt a little excited.
This is a major breakthrough!
Dumbledore kept the subject of the death dimension a secret. He would rather reveal a loophole than tell the truth. What he is hiding must be very significant!
"Andy..."
Seeing that Andy had not spoken, Harry asked curiously, "What are you thinking?"
"Huh? Nothing." Andy replied casually.
Harry found this strange but didn't dwell on it.
He trusted Andy deeply.
"Andy, Voldemort's death is finally going to be made public!"
Harry changed the subject.
He was very excited about this. "By tomorrow, everyone will know that it was Professor Dumbledore who killed Voldemort... Of course, you too. You both killed Voldemort together."
"Ha! Now the Slytherins will finally stop pretending to be so superior!"
"And all those rumours will just disappear!"
Harry's face broke into a wide smile at the end of his sentence.
What a naive boy.
Thinking of Scrimgeour, Andy shook his head.
It was precisely because Dumbledore had killed Voldemort so quickly and easily that everyone would be even more suspicious of him.
If you could kill Voldemort so easily, why didn't you do it before?
They didn't know about the Horcruxes.
They didn't know about the efforts Dumbledore had made behind the scenes.
The truth was clear: Dumbledore had killed Voldemort easily after Grindelwald escaped from prison.
Was that normal?
No, it wasn't!
And that was where conspiracy theories came from.
Andy patted Harry on the shoulder, hoping that Harry wouldn't be enraged and try to kill his way to the Daily Prophet after reading tomorrow morning's edition.
"Let's go back," Andy said.
Harry was taken aback. "Andy, is that all you want to ask about? The dementors?"
"Yes," Andy said casually.
"Okay," Harry shrugged, not feeling that there was anything strange about it.
Back at the castle, Andy turned to Harry and was about to speak when Harry beat him to the punch, asking, "I know you want to go to the library to read...right?"
"Great, I want to go to the library too."
Andy was a little puzzled. When had Harry become such a studious person?
"Andy, have you finished your Transfiguration essay? I want to look up some information, but I don't know where to start..." Harry stumbled at the end.
Andy: "..."
