ANNABEL'S POV:
How could Jayden have passed me? What will I tell mum and dad? I read for the test that position was supposed to be mine and not his. I wanted to cry but I couldn't let anyone see me, especially now that Jordan has started to notice me. I'm sure he cheated on that test. I clenched my fist about to enter the classroom and pounce on my seat mate when a girl suddenly appeared in front of me smiling.
"Hi! You must be Annabel right?I'm Sarah, I just wanted to say congratulations on getting second." She smiled.
"Oh? Thank you but that's not usually my normal position." I chuckled akwardly.
"I understand, Jayden can be just too much sometimes so don't take it to heart." She said as she held my shoulder comforting me as I sniffled.
"You're crying?" She said as I quickly wiped my tears away with the back of my palm as she escorted me to the restroom.
"You should clean your face and don't let anyone see you cry you're stronger than that. " She said as she patted me on the back.
"Thank you." I replied once I had freshened up.
"I don't mean to intrude but what made you sad I know it's more than the test scores but if you don't want to tell me it's fine." She smiled, ready to leave when I suddenly grabbed her by the arm.
"It's my parents...they expect me to be perfect even though my brother isn't, I'm just so fed up of everything." I said out loud. I didn't even know that i had kept so much to myself. I looked up at her to see her holding my hand.
"It's going to be okay why don't yoi just talk it out with your parents or your friends?" She suggested as I scoffed.
"I don't have any friends and my parents they seem to only care about my brother and nothing more,it's like i don't exist." I cried. I had never told anyone about my true feelings,not even my brother but I just seem to trust her.
"You don't have friends that's silly?" She joked.
"I'll be your friend." She said smiling.
"You want to my friend?" I asked staring at her,making sure she was not just joking.
"Why are you staring at me like that, i want to be your friend since I really like." She blushed at the last part.
"I just didn't think anyone would want to be my friend after the way Tessy treated me." I smirked.
"Tessy?"
"Oh? I forgot to say that Tesy and I were friends before until she started dating Jordan last two years." I explained.
"Really? I just don't know why you'd be friends with her, she's really mean and annoying?" She rolled her eyes.
"I know right?" I replied laughing.
"Now we have one thing in common." She smiled.
"Let's go back to class, we're already late for the next period."
IN THE CLASSROOM:
"Congratulations to Jayden on getting top one on our first test." Mr Philips smiled.
"You all should learn a thing or two from the Royal High students before they leave, it could really help you all." He said as he grabbed the marker and scribbled the word project on the board.
"Urgh...Mr Philips we just had a test earlier this week and the week isn't even over." A student complained.
"Well you're in senior year now so your workload has to increase to." He said.
"So by the end of the week we will have the list of students in each group."
"Now let's get settled everyone." Mr Philips said, writing the instructions on the board when Sarah and Annabel entered.
"Where are you two coming from?" He questioned.
"Mr Philips, we're coming from the clinic, Annabel had a little problem." Sarah replied before Annabel could speak.
"Oh I see, are you okay now?" He asked.
"Yes sir, I'm fine."
"Oh and congratulatons on getting third Sarah." Mr Philips smiled as Sarah nodded her head and muttered 'thanks'.
"You got third place, wow congratulations." I whispered into her ear as we headed back to our seat.
I got to my seat and brought out my book when Jayden suddenly spoke beside be.
"Were you crying?" He suddenly asked as Idropped my pen in shock.
"I'll get that for you." He said and bent down to pick the pen as he handed bsck to me.
"Urm...why did you ask?" I asked once he adjusted his position.
"You're eyes looking reddened and your face his pale." He simply replied without giving me a second glance.
"Really?" I exclaimed, touching my face.
"I thought I cleaned up properly."
"Class! That would be all for today? Remember to prepare very well for your next test and don't forget aout the project." He announced as the class chorused 'yes sir' in reply.
"Gooday class!"
"Well maybe you didn't!" I heard Jayden reply once Mr Philips left the class.
"I'll just use some makeup to cover it up." I replied when I noticed that his expression changed.
"Why do you always apply makeup? You're not ugly." He said as I suddenly turned red from embarrasment.
"I-" I couldn't reply as the words got stuck in my mouth.
"Forget about what I just said." He replied as he stood up and walked over yo where Joshua was.
"Annabel?" Sarah called as I looked up to see her smiling.
"I thought you wanted to punch him, why were you talking to him?" She asked as she made herself comfortable on the chair Jayden had just vacated.
"He was just asking about my face?" I replied, packing up my things.
"Really? Are you sure because Jayden doesn't really care about other people's business besides this is the first time I've seen him have a very long conversation with anyone." Sarah explained.
"He rarely talks much." She said.
"Really? But he seems normal to be except his nonchalant attitude." I frowned.
"Well if you say so, let's go for lunch."
"Sure!"
