Sylas appeared high above Meikai, his fist pulsing with a radiant might.
He didn't want to, nor did he need to explain why he wanted to be the one to fight Meikai. Could he have had the Duchess hold her off while he dealt with all the others, then they could have fought her together?
Sure, he could have.
But he didn't want to.
BOOM.
Meikai wasn't caught off guard in the slightest. In fact, her head slammed forward so fast a dome of dense wind formed over it. Streaks of air currents gathered in such a dense substrate that it felt like a wall of steel.
Head and fist met and Sylas was forced to activate [Hollow Veil], his body turning incorporeal before his entire arm shattered to pieces.
Meikai lost the power she was leaning into and stumbled forward, her body over-extending itself.
Sylas used [Hollow Burst] once again, a Hibernation Halo pulsing with gold around him as he appeared beneath her chin, kicking straight up.
BOOM.
