Sylas felt the eye of something enormous. It shook his concentration, almost pulling him out of his state of focus entirely. If that had happened, it would all be over for him, he knew that well.
Everything he was doing now required a delicate balance, and he was the bridge between him and this world here. And without this world, he was finished.
"Stay here." Sylas said calmly, speaking to Gogo and Nosphaleen. "You, come with me."
The Duchess' gaze flickered. Sylas' expression right now was incredibly frail. A moment ago, he had seemed fine, but right now he was covered in cold sweat as though he was enduring something unfathomable.
That eye continued to linger over Sylas, but if not for the reaction of his body itself, one would have never thought that it was there in the first place.
