Aurex's eyes flashed and he realized that he wouldn't be able to control the situation himself anymore. He didn't know Sylas, so he also had no idea that the kid had actually done this on purpose. In fact, he was still under the impression that whatever happened here had far more to do with the C-tier following Sylas than Sylas himself.
Without a choice, he could only accelerate back. He didn't want to get caught in the crossfire of whatever mesh system lit up to deal with them.
But after he had gotten a distance away, he was taken aback by the fact that the mesh system didn't immediately act. It was like it was hesitating, stuck in a limbo and not sure of whether there was a real threat or not.
Whether one was considered a true Rune Master or not, as a member of the Sanctum, all of them had a base understanding of Runes. As a C-tier, Aurex was more clear about what was happening than most.
