Chapter 98 - He is here

The black sun pulsed violently, ready to erase the world.

when the mysterious figure stepped fully into the light.

The sheer radiance of his presence made the battlefield stop trembling.

Even the collapsing skies seemed to pause.

Law's eyes widened, his fury breaking for the first time into disbelief.

Law (staggering, voice low): "…Wait… you are… God."

The figure's expression was unreadable, his aura infinite yet calm.

God: "Who else could it possibly be, idiot?"

The world seemed to bow to his words.

Law's body trembled. His aura exploded outward, cracks ripping through the battlefield, reality bending under his fury.

Law (roaring): "DON'T MOCK ME!!"

He blurred forward, fist cocked, every ounce of his stolen divinity pouring into a single strike.

The heavens cracked under the pressure.

But when his blow landed—

God hadn't even raised his hand.

The strike dissolved against him like smoke.

God (calm, analyzing):

"You have acquired excellent magical energy…

Was it a gift from the three goddesses?"

Law (screaming): "SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!"

He struck again and again, every blow faster, harder, loud enough to rattle the bones of the fallen heroes watching from the ruins. Each attack was the force to split continents

and yet none of them touched God.

Law's rage boiled over, his face twisted with madness. His aura surged higher than ever, his voice shaking the stars.

Law: "Out of all creations…

I AM THE MOST POWERFUL THING ON THIS PLANET!!

THERE IS NO NEED FOR A DEFECTIVE GOD LIKE YOU!!"

God finally raised his hand.

The air itself bent toward it, the world leaning in reverence.

God (voice quiet, but absolute):

"…Then prove it."

The sky split apart, black lightning tearing through the heavens as Law's aura spiraled higher and higher. The earth itself cracked, oceans recoiled, and mountains crumbled under the sheer weight of his growing power.

Law's eyes burned with pure madness, veins glowing with unstable energy.

Law (spitting venom): "Worthless fool of a king… enemy of my mother… I will kill you here and now!"

He hurled himself forward, fists glowing brighter than dying stars, every strike faster than light. Each blow detonated like nuclear fire across the battlefield, but God stood perfectly still, untouched.

Each time Law's fists met Him, it was like striking the void.

The energy simply disappeared, swallowed by something far beyond mortal comprehension.

The watching heroes shielded themselves as the shockwaves nearly annihilated them—yet God hadn't even moved.

Law screamed, his voice a mix of rage and desperation, his aura spiraling into a collapsing storm.

He began to build it all, every ounce of magic, every drop of his essence, life itself—compressing it into a single sphere of annihilation in his hands.

The air went still. The world went silent.

Reality itself bent inward toward the impossible gravity of his growing power.

Law (madness echoing): "I WILL END YOU NOW! EVEN IF I MUST DESTROY THE WORLD TO DO IT!"

The sphere of energy expanded violently, threatening to consume everything in its path. Cities shattered, skies warped, the very core of the planet trembled.

God (calm, absolute): "You would burn creation itself… just to erase the shadow you cast. How pathetic."

He didn't raise his voice, but his words cut through Law's scream like thunder.

Before anyone could process it, Adam's hand pierced clean through God's chest. The light of divinity fractured like glass, spilling brilliance across the ruined skies.

Adam leaned close, his lips brushing God's ear, and in a whisper that seemed to echo across eternity, he spoke the one word no mortal should ever know.

Adam (whispering): "…Yahweh."

God's eyes widened—shocked, for the first time in creation.

And then His form convulsed.

The Death of God

The battlefield froze. Law stopped screaming.

Zadkiel, Eve, Xiao Ling, everyone stared in horror and disbelief.

The Creator, the one true God was

slain.

God collapsed as His divine essence bled into Adam. And Adam—smiling faintly—absorbed it all. His body ignited in golden fire, veins burning with infinite energy, his silhouette blinding and monstrous all at once.

Adam raised his bloodstained hand, staring at it as it shimmered with fragments of God's own divinity. His eyes glowed like molten suns, his very breath distorting the air.

Law: "…What have you done…?"

His voice cracked, trembling with fury. His body shook as if he were being torn apart inside. The calm, calculating mask he always wore was gone, replaced with raw hatred.

Law (screaming): "HOW DARE YOU!"

His aura erupted like a black supernova, shattering the ruins beneath their feet. The air itself wailed as his rage tore through reality.

Law: "You unworthy worm! You ruin everything!"

Law: "That power was mine to claim! Mine to wield! You were nothing but a failed creation, a defect crawling in the dirt! And now—you think you can stand above me?! ABOVE GOD HIMSELF?!"

Adam lifted his glowing hand, divine energy dripping from it like molten gold. His eyes narrowed—cold, burning with new authority.

Adam (calm): "Funny. That's what God thought too."

Law's laughter echoed through the ruins, sharp and venomous.

Law: "Hahaha… HAHAHA! You fool! Don't you see? By getting rid of him"

His body convulsed as streams of raw, unfiltered power ripped outward, cracking the earth, splitting the sky. His aura no longer resembled mana or chi, it was something far older, chaotic, infinite.

Law (smiling wide, eyes glowing like suns):

"all restrictions placed on me… are gone."

The clouds above twisted into a spiral, black lightning lashing the heavens. His presence alone warped gravity, bending the world around him.

Eve staggered back, gripping her sword tighter. Seraphina's wings trembled.

Even Zadkiel, clenched his jaw at the suffocating pressure.

But Adam stood unmoved. Silent. Cold.

His hand lifted.

The divine light of Yahweh pulsed through his veins, spilling outward in golden arcs.

One breath later, everyone's wounds closed. Eve gasped as her broken ribs sealed. Vincent staggered, finding strength in his legs again. Seraphina's damage wings fully heal.

Even Zadkiel's battered body straightened, scars vanishing.

Adam didn't say a word. His eyes—blazing red with streaks of divine gold—were fixed only on Law.

Law (grinning madly): "Yes… good. Stand against me, Adam. Let's see how far your stolen divinity can carry you before I tear it from your corpse!"

Law spread his arms wide, and the sky itself split open. Black fire poured down like rain, igniting flesh, steel, and stone alike.

The Shadow Empire's beastmen roared in confusion before their bodies burst, bones snapping outward like jagged spears.

Orcs were ripped in half by invisible forces, their green blood spraying across the broken earth.

Vampires, who once reveled in the suffering of others, found their bodies melting like wax under a hellish sun.

Dark elves screamed as their shadows turned against them, slitting their throats with their own blades before dragging their corpses into the abyss.

The Frontier soldiers, brave men and women from Earth, fought desperately. Gunfire rattled, blades shone, and magic burned—but it meant nothing.

One squad of sharpshooters took aim from a ruined tower. With a flick of Law's finger, the entire structure folded in on itself like paper, crushing their bodies until blood leaked through the cracks.

A battalion charged, rallying under Eve's call but before they could reach him, a ripple of force passed through their ranks.

In an instant, every soldier's head exploded in a crimson mist, their bodies collapsing lifeless to the ground.

The airships that had once filled the skies opened fire, launching volleys of missiles and mana-charged artillery.

Law raised his hand lazily, and all of them froze mid-air—hundreds of glowing projectiles hovering like stars—before crashing back into their own fleets.

Explosions lit the heavens, raining flaming debris and screaming men onto the battlefield below.

The stench of burning flesh and scorched earth became unbearable.

Eve screamed in rage and despair as she watched her people torn apart.

Seraphina covered her mouth, choking on grief as her friends fell like insects. Even Zadkiel's monstrous eyes widened at the sheer scale of the butchery.

Law stood untouched, smiling amid the carnage. His laughter drowned out the screams.

Law (mocking): "Look at them! All your armies, your warriors, your Kingdom… nothing but insects under my heel. And you thought you could stop me?"

All around, the battlefield fell silent—because there was almost no one left alive to scream.

Blood soaked the earth. The Frontier was gone. The Shadow Empire was gone. Only the chosen few remained, standing in horror at the nightmare before them.

And at the center of it all, Law raised his arms, his voice echoing like a death knell

Law: "Now… only nothing will remain."

The battlefield was a sea of death. Shadow Empire and Frontier soldiers alike were being annihilated with horrifying efficiency.

Bones snapped, flesh burned, blood sprayed across the crumbling landscape.

Law stood at the center, untouched, laughing as the screams reached a crescendo.

Every attack, every desperate maneuver from the armies, ended in utter annihilation.

Yet, amidst the carnage, a subtle but unshakable golden glow began to ripple across the ground, originating from Adam.

Adam's eyes flared, crimson and gold, as he extended his hand. A divine barrier spread outward, invisible to Law at first.

Every soldier and warrior caught in the open fell—but when the golden light enveloped Eve, Seraphina, Zadkiel, Xiao Ling, Kai, Don, and the other named heroes, the attacks simply passed through them, leaving them unharmed.

Bullets, blades, magical explosions—all redirected or absorbed by the divine shield.

Even as Law's rage-filled attacks shattered mountains and leveled entire forests, Adam's chosen few stood protected, their forms glowing faintly under the divine aegis.

Eve (gasping, stunned): "…Adam… you… saved us?"

Adam (calm, cold, unwavering):

"Only the ones who still have a role to play survive. The rest… are gone."

Zadkiel looked around at the smoldering corpses of his enemies and former allies alike. His fists clenched, rage and grief flashing in his eyes.

Zadkiel: "…All of them… gone…?"

Adam (firmly): "Yes. And now, it's just us. It's time to end this."

Even Law, sensing the divine shield, narrowed his eyes. He knew Adam was no longer a mortal he could crush.

The balance of power had shifted in a way he had not anticipated.

The few survivors—standing unharmed amid a sea of death—looked toward Adam, realizing that the final confrontation was about to begin.

Law (voice cutting like steel):

"…So it begins. The final reckoning."

The battlefield stank of smoke, blood, and ash. Corpses of Shadow Empire beastmen and Frontier soldiers lay broken in heaps, twisted into grotesque shapes by Law's power.

Through the haze, Xiao Ling's eyes fell upon him.

Li Wei. Her brother. Once family. Now a traitor. Standing calmly at Law's side, untouched by the slaughter, his expression unreadable.

Xiao Ling's body stiffened. Her hand tightened on her blade until her knuckles went white.

The cold light in her eyes burned hotter than any flame.

Her lips curled—not in grief, but in hatred.

The surviving warriors—Eve, Zadkiel, Seraphina, Kai, Don—noticed the shift in her aura.

The Cloud Knight who once fought for hope now radiated pure bloodlust.

Xiao Ling (low, venomous): "…Li Wei."

Li Wei finally turned his head, his gaze landing on her. For a fleeting moment, something flickered in his eyes—surprise, hesitation—but it vanished as quickly as it came.

Li Wei (calm, almost mocking): "So… you survived."

Xiao Ling: "Survived?" Her voice cracked like ice. "I crawled through the ashes of our people… through the corpses of our friends… because of you."

She took one step forward, her blade trembling in her grip, not from fear—but from the sheer force of her fury.

Xiao Ling (screaming now): "You betrayed everything we were! Everything our family stood for! And for what? Power? To kneel at the feet of a monster like him?!"

Her killing intent surged so fiercely that even Eve felt it ripple across the battlefield.

Li Wei (expression hardening): "You think you understand? You know nothing of strength, sister. Father abandoned us. The world spat on us. I took control of my destiny. I will never bow to such weakness again."

Xiao Ling (cold smile):

"Then today… I'll cut you down with my own hands. Brother."
