Zed looked between Leah and Friday, then nodded, confirming he could see the ball of blue light hovering near her.
Friday floated closer and stopped right in front of him, eye level.
She hovered there for a second before asking, "Can you see me?"
Zed didn't deny it. "Yes." His gaze shifted back and forth between Leah and the glowing orb, trying to read Leah's reaction.
"Master! He can hear me too!" Friday exclaimed, overly excited as she circled Zed like a mosquito.
"Come back here, Friday." Leah said calmly.
Pouting but obedient, Friday returned to hover over Leah's right shoulder.
Leah conjured something into her hand, never breaking eye contact with Zed. "Can you see what I'm holding?"
Zed looked into her eyes, then down to her right hand. "It's a birdcage… with a doll inside? Wait—it's moving." His brows furrowed in confusion as he looked back up at Leah.
