Cai Meiqin saw her son finally come home to see her. Her heart relaxed a little, but she still kept a stern face, showing no friendliness to Wu Yao.
Upon seeing him, she turned her face angrily to the other side.
Wu Yao glanced at his mother, then turned to ask the doctor next to him, "How is my mom's condition now?!"
"Madam has taken her medicine, and she's much better than before. But young master, madam's heart has always been fragile; she can't be subjected to any more stress," the doctor reminded.
Wu Yao acknowledged with a sound and waved the servants and doctor away.
When the room was left with just the two of them, Wu Yao pulled over a chair and sat down by the bedside.
He looked at his mother for a while, and Cai Meiqin, seemingly sulking at him, kept her face turned toward the window, still angry.
Wu Yao, feeling a headache, chuckled helplessly, "Mom, why are you acting childishly again?!"
Cai Meiqin said nothing.
