What first came into view was a big yellow tooth, followed by a face full of fleshy bulges, its features squished together in a laugh, the eyes reduced to fine slits, appearing extremely sleazy.
The sun had been so warm and pleasant, yet Ning Xia was startled into a cold shiver.
The middle-aged man stroked his nearly bald head and patted his large beer belly, thinking himself dashing as he greeted Ning Xia: "You must be Ning Xia, right? I'm Chen Xiaosheng; Jiayin must have mentioned me to you."

Ning Xia swallowed her saliva, struggling to maintain a smile, "Yes, I'm Ning Xia. What can I do for you?"
"Jiayin told me that you came here alone and you don't know any of her friends, so you're quite lonely. That's why she sent me to keep you company."
As he spoke, he plopped down onto the chair next to Ning Xia, inching closer, "I came here alone too, why don't we keep each other company?"
