Chapter 5 - CHAPTER-1:A NEW LIFE,NEW TALE ACT-5(FINAL ACT)

The battlefield stilled for a heartbeat. Troady's ragged breathing echoed under the crimson sky, his chest burning from the shard's pulse. The armored warrior approached with unshakable confidence, each step sending ripples of authority across the ruined ground.

"Vessel of Misfortune," the warrior's voice was steady, cold. "You are a danger to every world. Your curse cannot be controlled. Better you fall now than unravel the balance further."

Troady's legs trembled. "I… I didn't ask for this! I never wanted this curse—this fate!"

The warrior pointed their blade at him. "Fate cares nothing for what you want. Prove you can wield it—or perish beneath it."

With a flash, the warrior lunged.

Troady barely raised his arms before steel clashed against the invisible force of his cursed shard. The air fractured. In an instant, the ground gave way beneath the warrior's foot, causing their perfect strike to veer off course. Their blade lodged into the earth.

The warrior's eyes widened briefly. So it's true… his misfortune distorts reality itself.

Seizing the opening, Troady swung wildly with a broken spear he had grabbed from the dirt. Yet fate mocked him still—the weapon snapped mid-swing, its jagged end flying off harmlessly.

But that shard of spear ricocheted against a fallen shield, spun through the chaos, and lodged itself into the warrior's armor, forcing them back.

Troady blinked. "I… hit him?"

The warrior growled, wrenching the shard free. "No. Your curse did."

The duel raged on. Every precise strike the warrior made was twisted by chance—rocks crumbled beneath their feet, loose arrows whizzed past Troady and struck near the warrior, even their own armor strap snapped mid-swing.

Troady stumbled and bled, battered by his own curse's collateral damage. Yet somehow, the chaos made him untouchable.

Finally, the warrior halted, panting lightly. Their blade shimmered with ethereal light. "Enough. You are no ordinary vessel—you are the curse incarnate."

They raised their blade skyward. "If left unchecked, you will unmake existence itself."

Troady's knees shook. His heart screamed to give up. But then… he remembered God's words: You alone carry the curse that can turn into salvation.

"I'm not a hero," Troady shouted, voice breaking. "I'm just unlucky trash! But if this curse is all I've got—then I'll use it to survive!"

The shard within his chest flared with blinding brilliance. A wave of distorted reality surged outward, splitting the sky itself. The battlefield shook violently. Monsters fled in terror.

The warrior staggered, shielding their eyes from the chaos. Then, with a faint smirk, they lowered their blade.

"Very well… Vessel of Misfortune. You live—for now. Survive this cursed path, and perhaps you'll prove your worth. But know this—next time, I will not stay my hand."

And with that, the warrior vanished into the mist, leaving Troady collapsed on the broken ground, his body trembling from exhaustion.

The battlefield lay silent. Troady clutched his chest, tears mixing with blood.

"I… I'm still alive…? Did I… win?"

The shard pulsed faintly, whispering in his mind.

This is only the beginning.

Troady closed his eyes, the weight of destiny pressing down harder than ever. His cursed journey had only just begun.
