Upon hearing him say this, Weilan couldn't help but glance at him, saying, "Your body is your own. I'm not entirely opposed to smoking, but your body hasn't fully recovered yet. You can't treat yourself like this."
He nodded and said, "I know, alright, don't be mad. I only took a couple of puffs."
"Even two puffs are smoking; you clearly enjoyed smoking just now." Weilan said seriously, "You didn't look like someone who just had two puffs."
As she spoke, she glanced toward the table, noticing the cigarette butt in the ashtray, barely anything left but the stub.
She immediately narrowed her brows and said, "You call two puffs smoking a whole cigarette?"
"It was really just two puffs!" Lu Hechen immediately made a serious face, cautiously fearing his wife's anger, "Honestly, I was on the phone in the middle and didn't smoke; it burned itself out, I really just took two puffs. If you don't believe me, smell me!"
He leaned closer to Weilan, his eyes shining with sincerity.
