"Old lady, what's going on?" Xu Lijing snapped back to reality and slowly stood up.
"It's the first time I've celebrated the New Year in China after so many years. It's incredibly quiet in the city, and the old man just keeps staring at me. I can't stand it, so I thought I'd drop by here for a visit." The old lady said with a smile, walking in without the slightest hint of unfamiliarity.
She then glanced around the small living room. The house looked quite old from the outside, but inside it was different, kept very tidy and cozy.
"You..." Xu Lijing's mouth twitched, not sure how to respond to the old lady's actions.
"What? Not welcome?" The old lady asked outright, hands on her hips.
"Even if I'm not welcome, there's nothing to be done. I'm already here, and you can't just kick me out during the New Year, can you?" Ignoring Xu Lijing's expression, the old lady found herself a graceful way to ease in.
