Chapter 33: Summon
––––––––––––––––––––––––
POV Battle Maid/Naro (Narrator)
Naro was a battle maid, training and honing her skill. Not until a magic circles of immense mana material under her feet.
She didn't resist, she had long expected to be summon by a being she swore to serve with all her heart.
She was design to be that way, this world design her to be that way. Now after waiting, she was finally summon.
*Wooosh 2x*
Naro scanned her surrounding. She found that two other beings like her had been summon. Looking ahead, she saw a child.
Long yellow hair style in a twin tail. Despairing aura that made her leg weak. And black wings, tainted from killing billion of innocent life. Naro could never imagine that a child this small could kill so many innocent soul's.
"You three, protect my mother while I'm gone" She spoke with authority, contrasting her childish feature.
Naro felt a tug in her heart to follow her commands at all cost. She could also feel that this child was the one who summon her.
Nero bowed to greet her new master. The first ordered from her master was simple and easy. Just protect her mother.
The other two being didn't seem as loyal as her. They didn't bow, they saluted like this was some military ground.
'Were they not train enough? Saluting is a show of respect not submission... I hope master doesn't feel offended by their action' Naro thought, worried of her first master getting angry.
Especially the two other being that were summon with her. Naro could only continue to bow and hope her master would forgive their lack of obedience.
"Maid, Take this and stay at my mother side at all times. If I see a single scratch on my mother. All three of you will die by my hand..." Master tone was more colder then before.
The aura Master give off was frightening. A different type of mana. No, it wasn't mana. It was something else entirely.
Master is so powerful...
*BAMM!*
Naro felt her body being pressed down. Her leg weakening from the pressure, gritting her teeth she endured.
The two beside her on the other hand. Their heads was smashed against the white tiles. Cracking them into spider webs.
'Te-Terrifying. Master is so powerful. Just her pressure alone is suffocating. I can't imagine what the other two are experiencing' Nero shivered, gazing at the two with pity in her eyes.
"Y–yes master" Her voice tremble, she could barely stand.
But if she collapse now, wouldn't that offend master? The pressure master used weren't directed at her.
*Swish*
Just as suddenly the pressure appeared. It vanish, letting Naro breathe in relief.
Naro hurriedly and obediently grabbed the stick and mirror from her master. She didn't know what these item were for but anything coming from master must be powerful!
Master gazes lingered on her. She could feel the approval nod of her master gazes. Naro felt proud, all her training was worth it after all.
Unlike the other two behind her. What did they expect from saluting anyways? Summons being like them are suppose to show obedience not respect.
What did the two learned during their training? Naro shook her head, just from her Master gazes on them. She could tell that Master was displeased with their behaviour.
"Hero. Stay 500 meters away from my mother. Unless its necessary, you'll stay away." Master spoke, her tone filled with caution and displeasure.
Naro turn her head to stare who Master was talking about. Her gazes landed on a young looking teenage boy. Black hair, and brown eyes. His uniform look unusual for Master to call him a Hero.
Was Master dissatisfied with his uniform? Master even ordered him not to be near Master's mother. He must be a threat to Master for Master to be displease.
Naro note down in her mind. Making sure that the so called hero—is as far as 500 meters or even more from Master's mother.
Master nodded. Folding her wings to reveal a pale and sickly looking woman.
Was that Master's mother? She look so fragile compared to Master.
Master had ordered her to stay by her mother side at all times. Naro stared at the fragile woman. She was so weak, Naro now understood why Master's mother needed protection.
Naro will definitely stay at her side at all times, even at the cost of her own life. She can't disappointed her first Master.
"Good, Protect mother at all cost. Your lives do not matter" Master ordered.
Naro felt a tug in her heart to follow what Master had said.
Master unfolded her wings and vanish without a trace.
*SHATTER!!*
Naro stared at the shattered window, Master hadn't teleported. Master was just too fast for her eyes to keep up. She couldn't even see when her Master had flapped her wings.
She stood upright and hurriedly stood by the fragile woman's side. Holding a stick with her right hand, and the mirror with her left hand.
Naro eyes flickered a faint blue light.

....
Naro eyes widen, a flicker of fear and awe in her eyes as she stared at the shattered window where her Master had disappeared.
Her Master had casually give her such a powerful Artifacts! How powerful could her Master be, to casually give it to a battle maid like her?
She shook her head, Her Master is way more powerful then she thought. But the Human and Elfs girl. They didn't seem to get along well.
"Human, stay 500 meters away from the summoner Mother's. This is only 10 meters not 500 meters" The Elfs spoke.
Shadow spike emerge from the ground, threatening to pierce the Human body.
He raised his hand in surrender, backing away one step at a time. The shadow spike followed, maintaining a few inch away from his neck, eyes, heart and crotch.
"Be at ease Shadow lady... I'll back away, just get that spike away from my private spot, please I'm bagging you" The Human manner was quite polite and casual.
Naro analyse their grade and found that the two were equal at power. Except for her own grade being above them. The two were practically equal to each other.
"Shadow Elf, mind your manners and protect Master's mother. Don't embarrassed Master by fighting among ourselves" Naro crossed her arms in disappointment.
Why did she have such incompetent servants..? Oh wait, they were not servant but a Hero and a Shadow Archer class.
No wonder they were showing respect instead of obedience. Making Master angry and punishing their disobedience.
Its fortunate enough that Master didn't kill them outright. Yet they are acting ungrateful at being spared.
Just from the billion of lives imprinted on Master's wings was terrifying enough for her to feel despair.
Naro suspected that Master was once an Angel. One that was pure with untainted white wings. Due to unexpected circumstances, master killed billions of innocent lives, resulting in her wings becoming black and tainted by the resentment of billions of Souls.
This was only a guess and it might be the reason why Master dislike the Human Hero and the Shadow Elfs, due to her being similar to Human biology.
Fortunately Naro was a Vampire. A Battle Maid Vampire. Painting her in a `positive` image in front of Master.
"That's right. Listen to the Maid, Shadow Lady. Our `Master` wouldn't like that now do we?" The Human smugly spoke.
The Elf twitched her eyes and glared at Naro. Teeth clank together like a grinding machine, frowning with her eyes narrowing.
"Tch... You think your superior?! Your just a Maid that got the summoner favor! Your no better then an insec—
Naro raised her stick and Slash the air. Creating shock waves in the form of an invisible Slash.
*Splash!*
A visible slash mark appeared on the Elfs chest. Blood sprayed everywhere. Naro raised the mirror and deflected the blood back at the Elfs. Splashing her in her own blood.
"Aghh! You mother fuc—
Naro vanish and appeared right in front of the Elfs. Her hand holding the Elfs neck tightly. Not letting air or a sound to be made.
"Please do not cause trouble. Master's orders is for us to protect Master's mother. You two are simply rebellious and ungrateful. Master spared you two for being disobedience, yet you two are acting like arrogance children.''
Naro tighten her grip on the Elfs neck. Her eyes flickering a hint of joy at teaching the Elfs a lesson. Serve her right for being disrespectful to a battle maid like her.
Their grade are merely one different. But that one different is enough to show who was stronger.
Grade A vs Grade S.
Unless it was Hiko, the outcome would always be the same. Grade S would stand on top.
Naro released her grip and disappeared, reappearing beside the fragile woman side.
"Cough, cough, cough... You!" The Shadow Elfs glared at Naro.
Her nails sinking into her palms, blood were drawn as it drip down the white tiles. Anger and resentment flickered in the Elfs eyes.
Her breathing was heavy from the lack of air, she never thought that she be choke by a maid.
"Hmght." The Elf turn her back against the maid. Ignoring Naro's presence completely.
She walked away and stood guard in front of the shattered window/Wall. Not speaking nor arguing anymore.
Naro nodded in satisfaction. The Elfs was finally obedience.
Naro turn her gazes on the Human. Why was he still here? Didn't Master ordered him to stay 500 meters from Master's mother? His distance between her and him was only 14 meters at most.
"Human. Please follow Master's order and stay 500 meters away from Master's mother. If Master found out. Master wouldn't be so merciful"
Naro reminded the Human hero. Not because she was kind but simply afraid that Master would blame her for not keeping him at 500 meters away.
She could forcefully drag him 500 meters away but her Master told her to stay by her Master's mother side at all time. Naro couldn't to anything against the Human for now.
Naro could kill him on the spot but wouldn't that enrage her Master? It's better to keep reminding him until his gone 500 meters away from the Master's mother.
Just as Naro was lost in thought of how to get rid of the Human. An Explosion echoed from outside.
*BOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!!*
Naro glance outside, her eyes widening at the surreal scene. The sky was burning. No, it should be accurate to say that space itself was being destroyed!
"Oh my God. The sky is falling!" The Human blunted out loud, eyes wide in shock. His jaw dropped to the floor.
The building begin to shake, Naro had a feeling that the build could collapse at any moment. So without hesitation she gently carried her Master's mother in her arms and hurriedly jump outside, passing by the Elfs girl.
*Swish*
A pair of bat wings sprouted from her back, allowing her to glide down the building at a safe speed. She made sure the fragile woman in her arms didn't have a scratch on her body.
That would make her Master angry.
*CRASSHHH*
Sure enough, her intuition prove to be correct. The building had collapse into a thousand chunk of brick and stone.
Naro sighed in relief, if she had stayed. Her Master's mother would definitely be injured or scratch.
Thankfully, she jump out right on time.
Saving the three of them from the Master's wrath.
