"He's the blonde wolf" Maddie said with a look of worry.
Seraiya knelt down to her level and looked into her purple eyes. "Are you sure?" Seraiya asked with a serious expression. "As sure as anyone can be" Maddie told her.
Seraiya let out a sigh before standing up.
Damien was right. The race to become the tribrid was officially on. And she had to win. But how would she unlock that final part of her. How would she become the tribrid.
"Maddie, I have to run out for a bit will you be ok here with the pack?" Seraiya asked. "Uh yeah I think I'll be fine" Maddie replied as Seraiya grabbed her car keys off her desk. "I'll be back than" she said before walking out of the office leaving Maddie alone.
Seraiya got outside to her car and quickly got in and started it, before driving away.
When she arrived at her destination 40 minutes a man with blonde hair and purple eyes waited for her just off the steps of the porch of a house hidden in the woods.
"I've been expecting you" he said with crossed arms as Seraiya stepped out of the car. "I'm sure you have" Seraiya replied closing the car door.
"Please come inside we'll talk there" he said turning to the porch. Seraiya followed him inside and they both say at the dining room table.
Seraiya looked at his purple eyes. It was the classic sign of being a seer. Finally he spoke. "So you've come to find out how to unlock your third side" he said as he poured tea into a cup. "What makes you think I know the answer?" He asked as he looked into her golden eyes.
"Your one of the few seers most connected to Selene" she answered. "There are many more connected to the divine moon than just myself" he said. "Such as the piece of the moon goddesses heart"
"She can't see what you can" Seraiya replied. "I can't tell you the answer you seek" he said. "Not as directly as you wish I could at least" he added.
"What do you mean? She asked. "What can you tell me?"
"You have the key near you, a key you must protect with your death" he told her.
"That doesn't make sense" seraiya replied. "If I die I won't become the tribrid" she added.
"Im afraid that's all I can say at this time" he said. "Any more and I will not be spared by the gods as I have been"
"Please there has to be something more!" Seraiya pleaded.
"If Damien becomes the tribrid instead of me they will make him destroy everything" she said.
The seer looked her in the eyes again this time with a serious look. "You have the key near you, a key you must protect with your death" he simply repeated.
Seraiya stood up and walked out going to her car and immediately getting in.
But she didn't start the car right away. No. She sat there for a moment thinking. The words he repeated, repeating in her own mind.
"You have the key near you, a key you must protect with your death"
She felt like an idiot in this moment.
She felt like the answer was right under her nose and she just couldn't sniff it out.
Damien paced his hotel room with his arms behind his back as piper sat in the chair only able to watch him.
They knew convincing Seraiya to come back would be hard but they didn't think it was impossible. And now he had to make sure he became the tribrid before she did.
He personally didn't believe the gods would help him achieve this goal, even if they needed him. But maybe they would lead him to the answer quicker than the moon goddess would lead Seraiya.
"Damien" piper finally spoke. "Maybe she's right" she said with defeat. "What?" He questioned as he stopped pacing and turned to her. "Your whole life I was able to protect you, no one came after you like they went after her" said Piper.
"But do you really want to risk creating chaos once you become a tribrid?" She asked. "Is protecting Seraiya really worth the world?" She asked. "What are you saying?" Damien asked with a glare.
Piper stood. "She's my daughter, your sister, I gave birth to her, I will always love her, but what she's doing is to protect you" Piper told him. "And who protects her?" He asked. "Who protects her from the wrath of the gods that have only ever wanted to destroy her? The gods who have only ever wanted her out of the way?" He questioned
"What happens when she... If she ever becomes the tribrid?" He asked simply.
"I don't know..." Piper whispered. "I have no clue"
"Exactly"
Suddenly there was a knock on the door and Damien went to answer it. Piper sat back down in the chair as Damien stepped outside the room. "Did you find anything?" He quietly closing the door behind himself.
"I would not have come if I did not find anything of value, lord" a vampire told him. "Don't keep me waiting, what did you find out?" Damien asked.
"The girl, the one you saw your vision and the one you saw with your sister is not what she appears to be" he said. She comes from Russia, the Witches say she was born of only witches but cursed to shift into a fox" he added.
"A fox?" Damien questioned can she use magic?" He asked.
"It is said she can but not proven" the vampire answered. "But that is not all I've found" her added. "Among the coven I spoke with there is a hidden prophecy believed to be about the girl" he said.
"Well do not keep me in suspense?" Damien demanded. "The prophecy states the girl is the key to unlock the powers of the combined" he told Damien. "The combined?" Damien asked unsure of what that meant.
"They believe she is the key to one becoming the tribrid"
