Chapter 4 - The Birth of Rimuru Uzumaki side story

The Night the Whirlpool Fell

Midnight Uzumaki Compound

It was a peaceful night, the day before it all started, under the glow of a full moon. After two millennia of history, the main branch of the Uzumaki family was joyous; their youngest daughter was soon to have a child, fulfilling an ancient prophecy. The presence of the young princess was a source of great fortune, with strangers being healed just by meeting her, and accidents, death, drought, and famine seeming to cease, as if the world itself prepared for the birth of a new Divine being.

However, as the news of the princess's labor spread through the village like wildfire, the peace shattered. From afar, thousands of shinobi from different villages launched an attack. Thanks to the village leadership's orders, the security was tight, but massive flames were soon visible where a dense forest once stood, now a wasteland.

Then, a massive ball of Chakra descended, cutting the village in half. Cries of panic echoed as they realized that three of the Great Ninja Villages had attacked the Land of Whirlpool.

With the three-front assault underway, many ordinary Uzumaki men took up arms to help the women and children escape the fighting.

After a few hours, the Uzumaki began to push back the attacking shinobi once the main family had joined the battle; only the female family members remained in the central temple to look after the young princess. Their power was legendary: the earth shook from their punches, and hundreds of shinobi fell. They watched as the 2nd prince fought against the Six-Tails using his Adamantine Sealing Chains, while the 1st prince engaged the Eight-Tails. Sensing their defeat, the Jinchūriki retreated from the battlefield, and the village began to celebrate their hard-won victory.

Soon after, the moon turned crimson red. They sensed a man floating above the village, looking down with a terrifying, evil, and dense chakra, far surpassing that of any Tailed Beast they had ever encountered. He wore a strange outfit—a white jacket and black trousers with black markings on his face (resembling a mix of Jigen and Hidan).

He waved his hand, and a monstrous beast materialized in the village: the Ten-Tails. Titanic in size, with brown skin, one of its hands was larger than any individual Tailed Beast. It possessed a single eye that dominated its head, spiky protrusions on its back like a conch shell, and a grotesque, bulb-like body with long, clawed arms. For some strange reason, they could see it but could not sense its chakra.

The Head ordered all warriors to attack the beast, but it ripped through the village, crushing and killing hundreds of innocent villagers. The beast then began to shed its skin, which transformed into hundreds of humanoid demonic creatures with blade-like arms. These monsters began eating the people as if they were prey (certainly not their intended prey, but they killed and ate humans for sport).

Central Temple (Amaterasu Omikami) in the Uzumaki Compound

In one of the central temple's chambers, the pregnant princess was surrounded by ten elderly women. The young lady, with long crimson-red hair and deep blue eyes, smiled gently. Though labor is typically chakra-depleting and painful, she felt nothing but the healing warmth from her child's presence. She had heard of the attack but was not worried, knowing her father, grandfather, brothers, and husband were battle-hungry and would enjoy the fight. (It is said that all Uzumaki are, in their own way, a social, peace-loving group who enjoy a good challenge from time to time, a clan blessed by the goddess Amaterasu Ōmikami.)

Rimuru POV

With a flash of light, I slowly opened my eyes. Before me was an elderly woman with a warm, motherly smile.

Rimuru: {Ciel, who is this grandmother?}

Ciel: Your actual great-grandmother, Master, and she loves children a lot.

I looked at my great-grandmother, made a cute face, and scanned the room. It was large and filled with luxurious items, and ten elderly grandmothers. A loud noise drew my attention as seven men entered the room. A few of the elderly ladies were visibly annoyed as one gentleman (a stupid-looking Guy Crimson clone) snatched me from my great-grandmother and started looking at me with a curious face.

Ciel: Master, this moron-looking guy is your father.

Rimuru: (Is Ciel annoyed with Guy? Something must be happening in Tempest. Guy must have tried to come to this world for fun. Well, I don't mind calling him in the future if he does his work properly.)

I had an idea and began to cry like a baby should. It worked instantly. A beautiful woman with long crimson-red hair snatched me from my father's arms and tried to calm me down. She truly is my mother (looking like Velzard with blue eyes and red hair). Then, I witnessed a funny scene: my great-grandmother, shedding her gentle look, took a paper fan from a nearby lady and hit my father with it. The other elderly women started laughing. Ciel then informed me about the other people present: the two guys at the back with bloody red hair were my 1st and 2nd uncles, twins (seriously, they look like Leon with red hair and blue eyes). In front of them were three white-haired elders: my grandfathers from my mother's and father's sides, followed by Ashina Uzumaki. The last was my oldest cousin (looks like Dino. Am I missing them or what?), who was trying to heal my dad. My mother finally decided to name me RIMURU UZUMAKI.

Ciel: Master, there's a problem. I sense the Ten-Tails outside the Temple with an Ōtsutsuki. It seems to have come for you and will kill everyone.

Rimuru: Ciel, what do you mean? I had a feeling, but losing my new family is no fun, even with the prophecy you created for my enjoyment.

Ciel (making a sad face): Sorry, Master. It was necessary. Since this world is not a good place to live in, how about we send every Uzumaki here to Tempest?

Rimuru: Good idea, Ciel. I will leave the rest to you. Make them a special race in Tempest and ask Ramiris to explain that it's a gift from me. Also, tell her that if she looks after them properly, I will send her to another world where she can have fun in her older body.

Suddenly, the temple roof was blown off by the Tailed Beast Bomb, shaking the earth. My mother looked around in horror as most of the village was now destroyed.

Third Person POV

On the battlefield, which had now dragged into the village, thousands of innocent people were killed by the Tailed Beast Bomb. Rimuru's father and the other elders immediately requested his mother to escape the village with her newborn child through an underground passage in the temple. But before anyone could move, a huge red Uzumaki symbol was placed, spanning from the central temple to the village outskirts. Then, the Ten-Tails began to transform into a Divine Tree as one of the Ōtsutsuki sacrificed himself in the mouth of the beast. The remaining monsters began to remerge with the tree. The second Ōtsutsuki was confused by his fellow clan member's actions.

As the remaining Ōtsutsuki scanned the area, he spotted a child floating in the air as time seemed to slow down.

...?: WHO ARE YOU, CHILD?

[Rimuru, now 16 due to slowing down time, prepares to erase this filth in front of him.]

Rimuru: How rude for a parasite.

JASHIN: WHO ARE YOU NAME-CALLING, YOU BRAT?! MY NAME IS JASHIN ŌTSUTSUKI, AND WHAT IS A BRAT LIKE YOU DOING HERE?!

Rimuru: Oh, my. Sorry for not introducing myself.

{Ciel, teleport the entire Uzushiogakure to my Imaginary Space and leave some old buildings in the sea and nearby. Also, I want to have fun experimenting on this guy.}

Ciel, hearing her master's words, activated her Ultimate Skill: <>.

{{Teleportation complete, and sure, Master}}. She grinned, knowing she could finally have fun with new toys.

In Imaginary Space

Jashin was shocked as he was sucked inside the child. He was worried by the sudden appearance of the boy, unable to perceive the full extent of the silver-blue-haired beauty. He grew jealous looking at the child; his body was strong, and his golden eyes were like an endless void, looking deep into Jashin's very existence. Jashin wanted to place Karma on this child and take over his body. But now he was in a strange, empty place—no light, chakra, air, or water—as if he was inside the boy's eyes. He didn't realize he was dead and was being observed by two people. Turning, he saw the two identical brats he saw before, one male and one female, the only difference being their eyes: one golden and one bloody red.

JASHIN: WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU BRATS? WHAT IS THIS PLACE?

RIMURU: Ah! Yes, we forgot to introduce ourselves. My name is Rimuru Tempest, and I am a God, and you are dead.

Rimuru transformed into his True Dragon form (resembling a mixture of Veldanava, Ivaraj, and Veldora).

Jashin finally understood his fate as he was hit by Rimuru's True Dragon Aura, his body disintegrating into pure energy.

Ciel: Master, analysis is complete. It seems the individual Jashin Ōtsutsuki possessed two very special eyes, a Rinnegan and a Byakugan, as well as two Senjutsu abilities: one to see the past up to his birth, and another that could reflect attacks onto others by touching them (dead or alive). There is nothing special about him beyond his somewhat immortal body, which he already shared with others.

Rimuru: Ciel, don't ruin the fun. Let me find the rest of the history and abilities of the Ōtsutsuki on my own, since they will appear again in the next 30 years.

Ciel: During the transfer of Uzushiogakure, I found an additional two Ōtsutsuki and one Divine Tree fruit. One was the previous God of this verse, and the other was inside the Divine Tree. What do you wish to do with them, Master?

Rimuru: Absolutely nothing. Just throw the Jashin guy and the other Ōtsutsuki body mixtures outside when we return to the Shinobi world to remove future problems.

Ciel: Yes, Master. Shall we return to the journey?

Rimuru (smiling): No, Ciel. Let me check my new body and powers first.
