[Why are you not moving?]
"Why am I...do you fucking see this place!?" Lesley yelled but he did it in his mind, since he had to be quiet.
He stood on a dead branch of a Miasma tree, his eyes scanning the bog before him.
It was truly a ghastly and gore filled sight.
Large clumps of moss floated in black, brown and red swampy water. The air had a putrid acidic smell like festering bowels, eaten by maggots. Wisps of miasma floated in thin clouds across the marsh, amidst spires of bones and broken branches in the water. Contrary to the assumption of it being desolate, Lesley could see shadows moving in the marsh, but they remained obscured.
"This place is worse than the streets back home. A thousand times worse." Lesley could not compare the desolate blood stained streets of Greenhit, with this macabre swamp of vileness.
[This is nothing. You are still in the first ring, wait until you're strong enough for the other rings, or your first tower. You'll know the difference between what is in your world and what true undead are.]
"Speaking of the towers, where did the other ones go to?" Lesley pointed behind him to the three towers he could see in the ring." I got here and they vanished, what's up with that?"
[They were never here in the first place. Each ring has three towers, what you saw was an optical illusion. A warping of space actually, since the towers are in their own rings now, where they always were.]
"Hmmm...that means there are four rings, right? For twelve towers?" Lesley sighed," I'm guessing each ring is bigger than the other one before it?"
[I do not know. This is a manifestation of your Cultivation laws, I can only provide practical knowledge I possess. What is inside here, is beyond my full knowing. But, cheer up, you've encountered your first Undead skeleton.]
"Wait what?" Lesley wasted no time and jumped out of the tree he was in, landing ten metres away in another tree. No sooner had he landed when a sharp set of fangs embedded on the branch he had been standing on. A second too late and he'd been killed.

A giant skeletal python curled onto the branch Lesley had been on, it's body made of nothing but bones. Glowing blue fire was in its eye sockets, and they blazed with hunger and beastal instinct, lapping on the life force it sensed in Lesley.
"Screw you." Lesley said and he used his [Dead Aura] ability, his Life force crumbling and shifting to mirror Death force. He'd turned it off repeatedly, wanting to attract the nearest Undead skeleton. It was only when the miasma from the Miasma tree got to him, that he'd activate it again.
The Bone Constrictor raised its head in confusion and looked left and right, searching for the Life force that had been here a few moments ago. Lesley smiled as he opened his palm, and an Obsidian jade whip with a long dagger tip appeared, ready to end the Undead skeleton.
But, as soon as Lesley summoned his weapon, the Bone Constrictor zeroed in on him and charged again, fangs open to bite him.
"Shit!" Lesley raised his whip, shifting it to a short sword and taking the Bone Constrictor's attack, blocking one fang, then use the momentum to shove himself away from it. He bashed if a tree, but landed a considerably easy a few feet away. Not wasting a moment, he quickly started to move, racing away as fast as he could.
[Before you ask, the reason it could sense you is because of your Soul weapon. It was made with your heart blood, which contains your Life force, that negates a bit of the Dead Aura ability, making it weaker.]
"Fine then." Lesley made his weapon vanish and stopped running, looking around, checking to see where the Bone Constrictor was,"Where is it?"
[I don't know. It is well camouflaged or it did not chase after you.]
"What the heck is that thing? I thought I was getting a normal human skeleton." Lesley gritted his teeth,"That thing was the size of two human beings."
[You already did a scan on it, and saw its status. A Low level Skeleton Beast, on the tip of evolution. My guess is that it's one of the strongest skeletons in the bog. You could leave it, and try to find a human skeleton or You could go and kill it now, so you can summon it.]
"Kill it? It's faster and stronger than me, or Mel, yet it's still termed to be Low level?" He sighed," You should have told me the disparity between the Undead I knew and the real thing was so high."
[Seeing is believing. Besides, this is good, you now know where you stand. You are a weak individual fighting a stronger opponent. Unlike the trees or Aether body undeads, this Undead will provide you with true stimulation.]
"That's true, definitely true." Lesley took a deep breath and opened his hand,"But, you're wrong. I'm not weak."
His Obsidian jade whip appeared and from the shadows of the tree branches a large skeletal body shot out, with killing intent blazing in its eyes. Lesley had already moved though, and dodged it's strike, his whip became a short sword and he did a quick horizontal slash.

"Good." Lesley quickly moved back, dodging a tail strike that would have sliced him in two.
The Bone Constrictor got up and gazed at Lesley with fury, its mouth opening in a deathly silent hiss. He stood ready, his whip in hand, it's sharp edges shining with deadly potential.
Noticing no fear from its prey, the Bone Constrictor raised its head and jutted out its back, it's spine extending and forming sharp spires. It curled into a ball and like a battering ram, charged straight for Lesley with its full speed, leaving no room for dodging. He used his Obsidian jade whip to deflect the attack but got pierced on his shoulder regardldss and flew away landing after smacking into a two trees.
[You've received heavy damage]
[-15 points Vitality]
[I suggest you think of a plan, before it strikes you again.]
"Already got one." Lesley replied windedly as he extended his whip and waited for the Bone Constrictor to try to ram him again. He didn't have to wait long, before the ball of bones rushed back to finish him.
With a supernatural jump, Lesley struck his whip down and sliced off a chunk of spinal bones.

The Bone Constrictor did not quit as it returned again, faster to slice Lesley up in retaliation. Lesley jumped once more, but this time the Bone Constrictor was prepared, instead of rushing ahead, it unrolled it's body and jumped up, it's maw wide open.
"Gotcha" The red haired teenager turned at it's mouth, and sliced off its two fangs with his short sword, tipping left to avoid an attack and rolling away.
The Bone Constrictor recoiled in shock as it felt it's fangs be hacked off. Lesley did not relent as he turned his short sword into a whip and wrapped it around the Bone Constrictor's head. It's razor sharp edges, began to slice through the bone like a knife through butter.
Sensing danger, the Bone Constrictor raised its head to pull away, but Lesley wouldn't have it. He gripped his whip with both hands and using all his strength, he pulled his whip through it's spine, ending the fight.
"That was...I need a breather." Lesley took deep breaths as he released his weapon and crouched down.
[Simple, stupid and effective. Your plan worked, but it was a gamble. You thought your whip could slice through anything, and it was that belief that had you jump at it, chipping it away. It could have eaten you on its second attack, or gone into hiding and struck in stealth.]
"Yeah, probably the stupidest plan I've ever had. But my whip could slice those trees in one swing, I figured a Low level Skeleton wouldn't be so hard. But, I noticed the resistance, it was more durable than the trees, probably because of its coming evolution right?." Lesley looked at his whip," I should name this thing, calling it whip gets redundant."
[Hmmm. Very well. Although a named Soul weapon is only something legendary, you can name yours for effectivity if you want.]
"Okay...I'll call it...Grim." Lesley said and before his eyes two symbols in a strange language appeared on its hilt."What is this?"
[You've marked it forever as The Grim One, that's the rune for Grim. Your weapon will now show in your status, but we're digressing, go and collect the core of that Bone Constrictor so you can summon it.]
"Right." Lesley got up and walked to the skeletal remains of the Bone Constrictor, and searched it's body," i dont see anything."
[The core of low level Skeletons is within the skull. Slice it open]
Lesley raised Grim and sliced open the skull, gently so as not to damage the core. He reached inside and pulled out a small grey stone, the size of a pearl or marble. It glistened like a jewel, rivaling diamonds in luster and shine.
"This is it? Okay. What should I do now?" Lesley asked.
[You devour it and make it a part of you.]
"What? Eat it?" Lesley looked at it hard,"But it's a rock."
[Don't joke. Eating it will allow you to summon the fallen Undead skeleton and, unfortunately, help with your Physical cultivation a tiny bit.]
Lesley's eyes grew wide and he quickly swallowed the Grey Core, feeling it going down to his stomach, and then dissipate into his body. A feeling of heat rushed through Lesley's body, making him feel like he was in a sauna. After a few seconds, the feeling faded away and he felt a cool rush of relief and strength. The wound on his shoulder closed up and he could feel a change deep inside him.
"Show me my status, hurry." Lesley asked and Phix quickly complied.
