Kellen sat there, in a daze, before he saw someone move across his vision and then he was being pulled up, not weighed down by his heavy bag. It was being taken from his back, and when he realised what was happening, he recognised who was in front of him.
Taylor was there, grasping him, pulling him up into a sitting position on the ground while the rest of her team put down a stretcher. He felt like he was watching everything in slow motion, knowing damn well it was happening at a rapid speed. He knew Taylor worked quickly, but his mind was so befuddled that everything was slow to him.
She was yelling at him, tears streaming down her face as she attempted to get a response from him. Her grip was tight on arms, her eyes a glowing green that was so bright Kellen had a hard time looking at her with his good eye.
