Lighting crackled as Hikaru's dagger smashed against Mirai's blade repeatedly.
Energy trailed behind each strike creating a constant storm of light.
Neither Zeon easing their attacks.
Technique activation: Dominance.
Mirai discarded his blade, dropping to his knees.
Hikaru's blade slicing through strands of the swordsman's hair seconds away from slitting his throat.
Mirai pulled the lingering energy into his palm, concentrating it into a handle.
Hikaru attempted to evade the incoming attack but it was too late.
Mirai pierced Hikaru's striking leg and as Hikaru phased through his opponent the true damage revealed itself.
Lights flashed as Hikaru's will stood strong, his energy forming new blades within his palms.
Mirai teleported, flarite blade in hand.
But as Mirai appeared Hikaru used his overwhelming speed to smash him straight into the rings.
Flames consumed the fractured rings.
Mirai began to paint the ground red as he sighed, each movement becoming more agonizing.
"You gonna join us then" Hikaru dragged Mirai onto his feet.
"Yeah you wish" Mirai formed a blade of Zeon energy straight through Hikaru's stomach.
Roles reversed.
Mirai kicked Hikaru down to his knees and as the forgotten Prince prepared his blade Hikaru resorted to his final resort.
Energy is a remarkable power being able to heal wounds, create weapons even power whole civilisations but what truly makes it extraordinary is its ability to adapt to each person who dares to manipulate it.
Hikaru sprung up his organs hanging in a bag of hard light energy.
"You really are crazy most people would have ran to a healer by now" Mirai formed his duel Zeon blades.
"Sadly I just don't have the time right now" Hikaru's aura accelerated in motion as his muscles became tighter and his legs began to course with lightning despite his injuries.
Attacks fell into place perfectly one after another up until Hikaru phased through Mirai's body only to force his body to twist right back around.
And as he did Mirai teleported his blade appearing within a hard light scabbard.
In which Hikaru took the opportunity to slice through Mirai's body.
Technique activation: Yusei.
Hikaru's speed vanished within an instant and with it his approaching victory.
Mirai smashed straight through the scabbard along with his blade and as a result Hikaru crashed against the rings.
"That technique again eh?, thought you might have gotten over your hatred by now" Hikaru mocked as his injuries continued to become more severe.
"I'm not wasting anymore time on you, nothings changed since we last fought so we already know how this ends".
"Ultimate move sword of the nullifying flame" Mirai formed the blade that ended their last encounter within an instant.
Mirai flew forth, ice shattering in his wake.
Hikaru smashed against the ice, allowing Mirai to fly straight by without resistance.
"I guess you are finished... Hikaru" Mirai released his blade, the energy scattering back into the universe.
"It would have been too great of a thing if we could have killed Uzunami together anyways, can you imagine the power we would need?" Mirai sat beside the unconscious Zeon.
"Damm it" Mirai smashed his fist into Hikaru's meteorite leg.
"You and Shirogane really are fighting for a cause greater then me and Daku ever have and yet I still can't bring myself to join you" Mirai rose up ready to return to the battlefield...
Hikaru sighed one final time...
"Fuck sake just stay there for a while okay" Mirai formed a scarlet ball of his own life force, only to toss it into Hikaru's stomach.
And with that kindness Mirai vanished into the chaos.
