Synopsis: The Gaen Cup's final round has officially begun. So many strong fighters have gathered to decide once and for all who's the best. The first match features.....
On the day of the Final Round, Hou is about to leave his house. His parents then call him.
Hou Ren's Father: Hou.
Hou Ren: (Turns around) Hmmm?
Hou Ren's Mother: Good Luck in the final round.
Hou Ren: (Smile Sadly) Sure.
Hou Ren's Father: Is something wrong?
Hou Ren: Yeah...Dad...if I hadn't left that day...would things have been different?
Hearing this, His parents were semi-stunned, but then his father smiled.
Hou Ren's Father: Well, in a way, things would either be the same or different. But in a way, I'd say things would become the same.
Hou Ren's Mother: The truth is, even after we scolded you for your past mistakes, we felt hurt. We shouldn't have treated you harshly. And you made us realize that we need to set a good example.
Hou Ren's Father: You've done so much and grown into a bright man. And we're proud of you for what you have done. Even when you're a monster, or whatever thing there is, you are still our son.
Hearing this, Hou smiles, and his tears are showing. He hugs his parents with a tearful smile on his face. His parents hugged him back, and Garga came out of his card and joined them.
Later, with the bright blue sky displaying over the beautiful city of Los Angeles, California, an airship broadcasting the live of Gaen Cup's Final round is flying. Televisions worldwide are broadcasting the same thing. A countdown has begun with all spectators watching it.
Spectators: 10... 9... 8... 7... 6... 5... 4... 3... 2... 1.
The Lights officially lit up at the World Buddy Stadium in Los Angeles. Ion & Takokichi appear.
Ion: To all Buddyfight fans and folks out there, I officially announce that the Gaen Cup Final Round is... OPEN.
The crowd cheers very loudly.
Ion: Here we are at the Los Angeles World Buddy Stadium. Today, 8 players have gathered to decide who is worthy of earning the title of "Buddy-Visionary".
Tako: And the victor will earn the right to face Kyoya Gaen himself. We promise you all that this will be a sight to see.
Both: NOW, LET'S GET THIS FINAL ROUND UNDERWAY.
The crowd cheers.
Ion: (On Screen) Now, before we begin, A few words from our sponsor.

The competitors are announced one by one, along with their buddies, as they come out to the stage. The Crowd Cheers as they enter.

Bigmachine: Let's Pound these Ants.
Ion: He pierces through his foes like a drill itself. His Buddy is Tyrant Cerberus REB. Rouga Aragami!!!!
Rouga: Hmph.
Ion: The Ice Queen that froze everything in place. Her Buddy is Stellar Deity, Astraeus REB. Sophia Sakhrov!!!!!
Sophia doesn't do anything but stare blankly as she walks.
Ion: The Former Head Of The Gaen Financial Group. His Buddy is Fake Replica Weapon Geclone REB. J GENESIS.
J: This is a waste of time.
Ion: He fights for the infamous Lost World. His Buddy is Vanity Husk Destroyer REB. Ranma Kakogawa.
Ranma: (Awkward Smile) Hi there.
Ion: A dark knight who slaughters friend and foe. His buddy is Gargantua Crystal King. Lost Ren!!!!
Lost Ren: Whatever.
Ion: This Mademoiselle, who is trained by the best. Her Buddy is Moonlight Fleur Emma REB. Shiloh Nelson!!!
Shiloh: (Blushes) Hey...
Ion: And finally, he who is titled "Ace Of Games". His Buddy is Deity Gargantua "Zenith". Teng Hou Ren.
Hou Ren: LET'S GO.
On the spectator side...
Gwen: Good Luck, Hou. You too, Shiloh.
Daryl: They look like all stars.
Masato: For Share. They got this.
With everyone gathered, Ion makes her announcement.
Ion: And with that, here's the tournament bracket.
A screen of the tournament bracket is revealed.
Ion: In the first match, it's Hou vs Rouga. The Second, Ranma vs J Genesis. Third, Shiloh vs Sophia. And the last, Lost Ren vs Devil Destroy Bigmachine.
Ranma: (Surprised) I'm up against J Genesis?
Lost Ren: So I'm last...
Hou Ren: This is going to be fun.
Ion: One Day One Match Everyone. Now let's get the first match underway.
As the crowd cheers, Hou and Rouga step up onto their platforms.
Rouga: I always wanted to face you.
Hou Ren: Likewise. The stronger the opponents, the better this match will be.
Rouga: You may be the Ace of Games, but the wolf will feast on even the Dragons.
Hou Ren: We'll see.
Rouga: This terrible blood rage will destroy all! Run Wild, Cerberus. Dark Luminize! Raging Tyrant Arc Two!

Ion & Tako: BUDDY... FIGHT.
Both: Raise the Flag.

All: (shocked) WHAT?
Ion: WAIT WHAT? HOU'S USING THAT SAME FLAG THAT DEFEATED HIS EX TEACHER??? HOW MANY FLAGS DO YOU HAVE???
Meanwhile, Kyoya, sitting in a VIP section inside the stadium, watches with glee.
Kyoya: I knew he would use that. Just in a matter of time.
Rouga: You sure know how to make a flashy move. So bring it on.
Ion: Hou has the first move.
Hou Ren: Draw. Charge & Draw. Buddycall. (Gains 1 life)
Garga: (Appears) All are powerless before my blade.
Ion: There it is. Deity Gargantua Zenith. And Hou casts Divine Dragon Creation to increase his hand.
Hou Ren: (Equips) I also equip Garblade Zenith. (Casts) And then Gargantua Linkage to further my resources. Here goes. (Attacks)
Hou battle cries and strikes Rouga down.
Hou Ren: My turn is now over.
Ion: And now it's Rouga's turn. He buddycalls Cerberus to the right and uses his ability to equip Kijin Demon Slay.
Tako: He also pays 3 life and casts Battle Aura Rampage to increase his gauge. Talk about power hungry.
Rouga: And now I cast, Deep Qigong of the Hungry Wolf.
Rouga gains 2 life.
Rouga: And I also gain 6 life.
Ion: Unbelievable. Rouga just increased his life to 13.
Lost Ren and Shiloh are watching together in the stands.
Lost Ren: Typical. You needn't 2, but you need 8 instead.
Shiloh: And thanks to that, He gets to draw a card.
Rouga: Now I call, Tyrant "Arc" Jinn to the left.
Jinn: (Appears) May my master's wish be granted.
Hou Ren: Cast. Dragotrap. Cerberus cannot attack.
Cerberus is affected, much to Rouga's grunts.
Hou Ren: Can't have you increase your life further.
Rouga: Cheap Trick. Jinn. Attack Hou.
Jinn attacks, Rouga gains 2 life and draws. Hou receives 2 damage.
Rouga: (Spins item) My turn. (Attacks)
Hou Ren's Life: 8 -> 4
Rouga: (Attacks) This will end you!!!
Hou Ren: (Blocks) Cast. Black Dragon Shield.
Ion: With that effect, Hou gains 1 life.
Rouga: (Lands) Impressive. My turn is over.
Shiloh: If Rouga casts his Impact, then the game would've been over.
Lost Ren: Except he didn't, because he knew that Hou would survive easily without a scratch.
Masato: (crossed arms) When you think about it, I'd say they're just testing each other.
Daryl: (nods) And now that Hou's Life reaches below 6, the real match begins.
Ion: It's now Hou's turn. Let's see what he can do.
Hou Ren: Successive Cast. Across the Zenith Step. Rise and Fall of Dragons.
Ion: Hou increased Garga's soul, and this means Garga can attack all of Rouga's monsters this turn.
Rouga: Not so fast. I cast. Binds of a Despot. (Pays 1 gauge and 4 life)
Suddenly, Red Lightning out of nowhere strikes both Hou and Garga, stopping them in pain.
Hou: What???
Rouga: You stopped me earlier. So I might as well stop you.
Ion: Rouga just stopped Hou's cards without even trying.
Tako: Amazing, Chu.
Hou Ren: In that case, G-EVO Z Activate. From the dropzone, Sonic Mode.
Garga: (G-EVO) Sonic...Mode!!!
Rouga: What?
Ion: Whoa, even though Garga's on rest, Hou can still G-EVO?
Hou Ren: Binds of Despot doesn't block all attacks, you know. If anything, I was able to trigger Garblade's Second ability: 2 damage to you. (Stabs)
Now Rouga's the one who's being struck by lightning, much to his endurance.
Shiloh: Now Rouga's the one who's struck by lightning.
Garga: And, with Across the Zenith Step in my soul, I can attack all of your monsters. Here goes.
Garga attacks and punches the ground with his shield. Jinn is out while Cerberus revives with soulguard. The attack hits with 4 damage dealt.
Ion: Because of G-EVO Z, Sonic Mode now has a critical of 4.
Hou Ren: Revert Garga. (Garga Reverts) And sorry to disappoint you, because Garblade stands too.
Hou Ren & Garga: One more time. (Attacks)
Ion: They both have a critical of 4 each. If both attacks land, Hou wins.
Rouga's Life: 5 -> 1
Hou Ren: (Attacks, Battle Cries) This will end you.
Rouga: (Blocks) I cast. Battle Aura Circle.
Hou: No !!!
Ion: Say what??? Rouga blocked the last attack. Talk about being a candle in the wind!!!
Hou Ren: Tch. My turn is over. (smiles) You're good, so to speak.
Rouga: So are you. However...(Aura farms) I'm just warming up!!! Draw... Charge... And... Draw!!!!
Everyone notices Rouga's fighting spirit in shock. Kyoya, however, lets out with a smile.
Ion: Rouga placed a lot of effort into drawing his card. What's he going to do?
Rouga: First, I cast. Survival Chance. (Draws) Now I cast. Evening the Odds. Both of us gain 6 life.
Hou Ren & Garga: What?
Rouga's Life: 1 -> 7
Hou Ren's Life: 4 -> 11
Rouga: Since you're life points are higher than mine, I gain 4 more.
Everyone's shocked.
Ion: Wait, what??? Why would Rouga increase Hou's Life too?
Rouga: I just thought why don't we even the odds a bit. (Draws) And I draw a card with Demon Slay's effect. And now, allow me to introduce my ultimate spell.
Hou & Garga prep themselves in a defensive stance.
Rouga: Cast. (Pays 3 gauge & 1 life) DISTRACTION OF DESPOT. DISCARD YOUR ENTIRE HAND!!!
Everyone's shocked upon hearing that. That spell creates a burst of red-black lightning at Hou's hand cards. Right before it hit, however...
Hou Ren: HOLD IT. Double cast. Gar-Cmon. LostCat. Ninowl. Now.
LostCat & Ninowl are summoned??? And Hou's remaining hand cards were discarded.
LostCat: This cat's ready to destroy.
Ninowl: You call, Master???
Ion: Wait, What??? Why would Hou call at this moment??? And a new monster too!!!
Hou Ren: It all comes down to this...I activate LostCat's ability.
Hou looks at the top 2 cards of his deck and places one into his hand and the remaining one into his gauge. And Hou looks back with sharp eagle eyes.
Rouga: Doesn't matter what you add, you still won't beat me. With that spell effect, for each card the opponent discards, I draw the same amount.
Rouga draws 2 cards.
Ion: And now Rouga just increased his hand!!!
Rouga: Once More, Tyrant "Arc" Jinn to the left. (Jinn appears) Attack Ninowl.
Ninowl is hit, but..
Hou Ren: When Ninowl is attacked, it goes to my hand cards instead. (Ninowl returns)
Rouga: Cerberus. Follow Him.
Hou Ren's Life: 11 -> 8
Rouga's Life: 12 -> 14
Ion: Uh Oh. If Kijin Demon Slay's two attacks land, Hou's time would be over like a magician's disappearing act.
Shiloh: (worried) Oh No...
Lost Ren becomes stern but also worried. Everyone else is worried, too.
Daryl: Hou...
Masato: Uh Oh...
Rouga: Like I said: The wolf feasts even on Dragons. (Attacks)
Hou Ren's Life: 8 -> 4
Rouga swings his axe and battle cries for a second time until all of a sudden,Hou grabs the attack with his right hand. Rouga's shocked while Hou smirks.
Rouga: What???
Hou Ren: I don't go down easily. (Reveals) Immortal Draknight.
All of a sudden, Hou also aura farms and pushes the axe off with all of his might. Rouga grunts. Everyone's shocked.
Ion: UNBELIEVABLE. HOU JUST SURVIVED THE TURN WITH IMMORTAL DRAKNIGHT??? THIS IS OUT OF THIS WORLD.
Rouga was shocked as he remembered Hou adding a card with LostCat's effect, and then NinOwl returning to his hand. He then turns stern.
Rouga: So that's how.
Masato: He called NinOwl and LostCat just for that moment???
Daryl: Incredible...
Shiloh: Hou...
Lost Ren: He's strong...
Garga: Marvelous Work. I expected nothing less from my buddy.
Rouga: Well played. My turn is now over.
Ion: Hou survived by the skin of his teeth. First, he was in the reds; now he's in the greens. What incredible Luck.
Kyoya: Even still, he only has one turn left. Now...What will you do?
Hou closed his eyes. He draws, charges, and draws. Breathes in and lets out a sigh. Cracking his bones and twisting his neck.
Hou Ren: It goes without saying. (Open eyes) I'm breaking the Ice.
Rouga: Come.
Hou Ren: I equip Garblade "The Future". (Equips) And I set Diabolos Stage. Garga. Attack the fighter.
Garga: As you wish. (Attacks)
Rouga's Life: 14 -> 12
Hou: My turn. (Attacks)
Rouga's Life: 12 -> 10
Hou: G-EVO Z once again. From the dropzone, Gargantua Navalgazer!!!
Garga: (G-EVO) The Ocean Roars Strong and So Do I. I am...Gargantua Navalgazer!!!
Ion: G-EVO time. And it's a new Garga I have never seen.
Hou: With Navalgazer's effect, I summon Trickdog and Blackout Bird to the center.
Both cards are summoned.
Both: Surprise!!!
Ion: Whoa. Suddenly, Garbird and Gardog are called.

Ion: Because of G EVO Z Once Again, they're critical and have bumped up!!!
Rouga: Triple Cast. Insanity Aura. Battle Aura Circle. Demon Slay Bloodwind Wall.
Ion: SAY WHAT??? ROUGA USED THREE SPELLS TO DEFEND.
Garga: Then allow me. (Attacks)
Rouga: I cast Phoenix Wall. (Reduces Damage)
Hou: Navalgazer's skill online.
Garga stands and powers up one more time.
Garga: Once More!!! (Attacks)
Rouga's Life: 8 -> 3
Hou: Garga, revert.
Garga reverts, and all of Hou's forces stand. Everyone's shocked.
Ion: Somebody stop the train, Hou's not cowering down. He keeps standing over and over like how???
Daryl: (Awkward Smile) He really has no limits.
Masato: (Awkward Smile) Yikes.
Rouga: (Thought, in stern fear) Even if I defend, his other cards can finish me off. (smiles) Well...
Garga: (Attacks) Fare thee well, Wolf-Fighter From Afar. (Strikes) Rarrgh!!!
Rouga was struck, and his flag is down.
Ion: Game End. The winner is Hou Ren!!!
The Crowd cheers loudly. Hou's friends jump around in excitement. Lost Ren claps his hands in calm, while Shiloh is incredibly glad.
Ion: With a bam and pow, Hou exterminated the Wolf. He's moving on to the semi-finals, People.
Rouga, who's currently sitting down, smiles with his eyes closed.
Rouga: (Sigh) He's good. Too good for me.
Both fighters walk forward and shake hands while being impressed.
Rouga: I never thought I would say this, but... Good Luck On Your Next Match.
Hou Ren: Sure thing.
Rouga: Promise me you'll rather fight with honor.
Hou Ren: Always.
Garga nods, and the four of them set off in different directions. Unbeknownst to them, J Genesis and Kyoya are watching them from afar.
Kyoya: I knew giving you that flag was the right choice. Well done. (Turns to J Genesis) You're up next.
J Genesis: Yes...Ranma Kakogawa. User of Lost World, huh?
Meanwhile, Ranma and Destroyer are staring at their next matchup on a giant screen.
Ranma: You may be strong, Hou. But I won't lose. Wait for me. My Friend
