At the entrance to the dimensional passage, Mandala personally awaited Xiao Ze. She had summoned him back for an important reason.
"Xiao Ze!" she called out as he arrived.
"Mandala? What's the matter?" Xiao Ze inquired, noticing her urgency.
"Heaven Sovereigns from the Vast Thousand Palace have come to visit," Mandala replied.
Xiao Ze's expression grew serious. "Very well. Let's meet them together."
At the Source Realm Headquarters
Inside the Source Realm's grand hall, Lin Jinyu, a senior figure from the Vast Thousand Palace, sat leisurely with an ancient tome in hand.
"Haha! Lin Elder, I apologize for not greeting you earlier. I was occupied in a lower plane," Xiao Ze said warmly upon his arrival.
Lin Jinyu set the tome aside, stood up, and cupped her hands in greeting. "Lin Jinyu of the Vast Thousand Palace greets the Demon Subduing King!"
She continued with a chuckle, "Your feats in Tianluo Continent have shaken the Vast Thousand Palace. Many elders were stunned when they heard of your accomplishments. They even questioned me about the report I submitted regarding your strength."
Lin Jinyu's gaze held a mix of admiration and curiosity as she looked at Xiao Ze. She had witnessed his journey from an Earth Sovereign to a Heaven Sovereign but never imagined he would achieve such extraordinary power.
Xiao Ze smiled modestly. "It was a mix of luck and opportunity. But Lin Elder, what brings you here personally? Aren't you the master of the Vast Thousand Pavilion?"
"The Pavilion Master and Realm Overseer roles rotate periodically. It just so happened to be my turn, so I returned to the Vast Thousand Palace to retrieve the items you requested."
With that, Lin Jinyu produced a Qiankun Bracelet from her sleeve and handed it to Xiao Ze.
"Please verify the contents. We wouldn't want you to lose your hard earned Demon Subduing Points."
Xiao Ze accepted the bracelet with a chuckle. "Lin Elder, your reputation precedes you I trust there won't be any issues."
A Gift for Mandala
After inspecting the bracelet's contents, Xiao Ze retrieved a black whip from it. The whip, covered in sharp thorns and emitting a faint, cold light, was engraved with intricate and ancient runes.
"Mandala, this is for you," Xiao Ze said, handing the Binding God Whip to her.
Lin Jinyu, observing Mandala standing half a step behind Xiao Ze, raised an eyebrow in mild surprise. To receive such a rare quasi legendary artifact from Xiao Ze, this petite woman must have a close relationship with him.
Upon inspecting Mandala more closely, Lin Jinyu's eyes flashed with recognition.
"An ancient Mandala Flower how fitting. This whip should allow her to unleash its full power," Lin Jinyu remarked.
Mandala accepted the whip with a smile, then respectfully bowed to Lin Jinyu. "Thank you, Lin Elder, for making the journey to deliver this."
Lin Jinyu waved her hand dismissively. "It was no trouble at all."
Xiao Ze then spoke, "Lin Elder, if you're not in a hurry, perhaps you'd like to stay and witness the Pill Auction? I'd be honored to have you as my guest."
Lin Jinyu smiled knowingly. "I was planning to stay. The Vast Thousand Palace elders are curious to see if their Demon Subduing King is truly as multi talented as the rumors suggest."
Unspoken was her second reason: to lend her presence in support of Xiao Ze. Despite his status as the Demon Subduing King, some superpowers might attempt to disrupt the auction. Lin Jinyu's attendance would serve as a deterrent.
The Auction Nears
As the date of the Pill Auction approached, the Source Realm prepared meticulously, sparing no effort in hosting the event. Xiao Ze was calm yet slightly anxious, as no superpowers apart from the Vast Thousand Palace had yet confirmed their attendance.
But he remained steadfast. Even if the auction didn't succeed as planned, the divine pills he had refined would still hold their value.
Early Guests
While preparations continued, three immense auras suddenly approached Tianluo City. Sensing the familiar presences, Xiao Ze's lips curled into a smile.
"It seems the three Heaven Sovereigns I encountered before couldn't resist the allure of the Dragon Phoenix Sovereign Pill," Xiao Ze mused.
Indeed, Ziyun Patriarch and his two companions arrived, their powerful energy causing the strongest sect leaders of Tianluo Continent to feel a pang of unease.
Outside the city, Xiao Ze personally greeted the trio. Though they were his former adversaries, he extended them the courtesy befitting Heaven Sovereigns.
The three returned the gesture with amicable smiles, exchanging pleasantries as if their past conflict had never occurred.
The Grand Assembly
Following the trio's arrival, a wave of Heaven Sovereigns descended upon Tianluo City. Some arrived alone, while others brought their families or trusted subordinates.
The city buzzed with activity, as it had never before seen such a gathering of Heaven Sovereigns. For centuries, Tianluo Continent had been a battleground of competing factions, but Xiao Ze's leadership had transformed it into a hub of unprecedented unity and excitement.
At first, only Spirit level Heaven Sovereigns arrived, allowing these lesser powerhouses to hope for fewer competitors in the auction. However, their hopes were dashed when four overwhelming presences descended upon the city.
The sheer strength of these newcomers left the Spirit level Sovereigns visibly shaken they were clearly Immortal level Heaven Sovereigns.
Xiao Ze, sensing their approach, stepped outside to welcome them.
The four figures landed gracefully, revealing themselves to be Ghost Emperor and his companions the same Immortal Sovereigns Xiao Ze had clashed with not long ago. Their improved auras suggested they had fully recovered from their injuries.
"Xiao Ze," the Ghost Emperor greeted with a faint smile. "We've come to join the fun. I trust you won't turn us away?"
"Of course not," Xiao Ze replied calmly. "As long as you're here to participate genuinely and not cause trouble, you're most welcome. Please, come in."
Hearing this, the four Sovereigns visibly relaxed. Though they had once fought against Xiao Ze, there was no lingering animosity only respect for his strength and a desire to acquire the divine pills on auction.
