Chapter 790: A Long Awaited Reunion
In the Vast Thousand Worlds, Xiao Ze gazed at the immense dimensional passage he had successfully constructed, a smile playing across his lips. The gateway between the Vast Thousand Worlds and the Dou Qi Continent was finally complete.
Given the size and prominence of the passage, Xiao Ze took precautions, using his mastery of space manipulation to expand the surrounding space a hundredfold.
The space of the Vast Thousand Worlds was far sturdier than that of lower planes, capable of withstanding battles between higher tier beings. Yet, this robustness made it exceedingly difficult to carve out space without mastery. Typically, only Heaven Sovereigns could perform such feats.
A Guardian of Two Worlds
Xiao Ze's prowess, however, transcended convention. Even at the Earth Sovereign stage, he had possessed the ability to manipulate space, though back then, it had limited utility. Without the strength of a Heaven Sovereign, carving out a dimensional passage would have exposed the Dou Qi Continent to unpredictable dangers.
Now, as a Heaven Sovereign, Xiao Ze had the power to protect his homeland.
The newly constructed passage allowed spiritual energy to flow directly into the Dou Qi Continent. Over time, the continent's Dou Qi would merge with this spiritual energy, reshaping its energy system. Once complete, those constrained by energy limitations could ascend to the rank of Dou Di, equivalent to the Sovereign Stage.
"Perhaps the Dou Qi Continent will flourish with strong cultivators," Xiao Ze mused. "The bloodline of a Dou Di is remarkably potent. If Dou Dis are equivalent to Heaven Sovereigns, then their descendants might produce Earth Sovereigns with ease. Even in the Vast Thousand Worlds, Earth Sovereigns are considered a powerful force."
With a slight shake of his head, he dismissed such extravagant thoughts. "If that were truly the case, the relationship between lower planes and higher realms would have inverted long ago."
A Journey to Reunite
Stepping into the newly stabilized dimensional passage, Xiao Ze was met with its resilience, a testament to his careful construction. Even the massive space storm that had once threatened his journey to the Vast Thousand Worlds could no longer pose a threat.
On the Dou Qi Continent, a massive black hole appeared in the sky, visible to all. It sparked widespread fear and confusion among its inhabitants.
Before chaos could ensue, a deep, resonant voice echoed across the continent:
"I am Xiao Ze, the Source Emperor. Beyond the Dou Qi Continent lies a vast and extraordinary world known as the Vast Thousand Worlds. The black hole in the sky is a gateway I have created to connect our worlds. Do not be alarmed."
As the words reverberated, their reassuring tone soothed many. Yet, in the continent's Central Plains, several powerful auras surged toward the black hole.
Xiao Ze's expression softened as he sensed five familiar presences among them. A genuine smile broke across his face, and his heart warmed with anticipation. Though only two years had passed in the Vast Thousand Worlds, his time spent in intense cultivation made it feel far longer. The thought of reuniting with Xun'er and the others filled him with joy.
The Reunion
Like shooting stars, five figures streaked across the sky, closing the distance rapidly.
"Xiao Ze!"
A sweet, melodic voice called out, and before the others could catch up, a graceful figure leaped into Xiao Ze's arms, embracing him tightly.
The remaining four halted mid flight, their gazes tender as they witnessed the reunion.
"Xun'er, everyone… it's been so long." Xiao Ze held Xun'er close, his voice filled with warmth as he glanced at Medusa, Xiao Yi Xian, Qing Lin, and Zi Yan. A sense of peace settled over him as he took in their familiar faces.
Xun'er's delicate features glowed with happiness, her cheeks flushed as she leaned against him. "Xiao Ze gege, welcome back."
Loved Ones Gather
Not far away, a larger group of figures awaited, including Xiao Ze's father Xiao Zhan, his brothers, and esteemed figures like Gu Yuan and Zhukun.
Though eager to welcome him, they tactfully kept their distance, allowing Xiao Ze to reunite with Xun'er and the others first.
After a moment, Xun'er reluctantly stepped back. "Xiao Ze gege, you should greet Father and the others. We can talk more afterward."
Xiao Ze nodded, gently releasing her. "Of course. We'll have plenty of time to catch up later."
Accompanied by Xun'er, Medusa, and the rest, Xiao Ze approached the waiting elders, bowing respectfully. "Father, Gu Yuan, Zhukun this unfilial son returns!"
Xiao Zhan's face broke into an uncontrollable grin, his joy palpable. "You're back, Xiao Ze. That's all that matters. As long as you're safe, nothing else is important."
Standing beside him, Xiao Ze's brother Xiao Yan grinned. "Fourth Brother, it's been a while. You've grown even more formidable, but this time, I'm not far behind!"
