In the pitch black depths of the endless void, a dazzling golden light suddenly erupted.
The radiance carried an intense heat, resembling a brilliant sun born amidst the void, bringing light and warmth to the dark and icy expanse.
The light swept across the void, manifesting as shattered sword beams, each containing an extreme, searing flame.

Though Xiao Ze could afford to take his time, he preferred not to risk prolonged battles.
The Dou Emperor's liquefied form launched toward Xiao Ze with immense force, forcing him to stagger backward.
For reasons unknown, however, the Dou Emperor never left the depths of the void, even as its defeat seemed inevitable.
Had it chosen to flee, even Xiao Ze, with his overwhelming power, couldn't have stopped it.
With each encounter, Xiao Ze fought with full intensity, shattering the Dou Emperor repeatedly.
While these high energy bursts consumed immense amounts of Dou Qi, Xiao Ze wasn't concerned. His Origin Space a burgeoning miniature dimension provided him with an inexhaustible supply of Dou Qi.
After several more days, Xiao Ze once again reduced the blue robed Dou Emperor to fragments.
This time, however, the Dou Emperor didn't retaliate or reform.
Instead, its blue energy began converging in one place.
Xiao Ze narrowed his eyes as he sensed the shift, then smirked slightly.
"It's finally over!"
This had been the longest battle of Xiao Ze's life.
Each time he destroyed the Dou Emperor's body, he also eroded part of the Endless River's spirit.
Xiao Ze's attacks weren't just obliterating the river's energy they were erasing its sentience, reducing it to its original form: a simple sphere of water infused with Dou Emperor blood.
Xiao Ze's gaze shifted toward the spot where the energy was gathering the same place where the memories of the Endless River had shown the Dou Emperor storing the water sphere.
"Could the Dou Emperor have foreseen this outcome?" Xiao Ze wondered.
"Or perhaps some fragment of emotion binds the river to this place, compelling it to stay?"
After pondering briefly, Xiao Ze shook his head. The truth no longer mattered.
The Origin Emperor Flame had erased not only the spirit but also the memories of the Endless River. Whatever had transpired between it and the blue robed Dou Emperor would remain a mystery.
Xiao Ze approached the glowing water sphere, now shimmering with blue light and faint traces of crimson.
With a crystal of energy in hand, Xiao Ze lifted the sphere. Sensing the immense energy within, he nodded in satisfaction.
He glanced at his interface, where a new notification flashed brightly:
