Elvis was running as fast as he could, Emax was almost dead and he was running out of time .
Weaving through the ernomous buildings with only one aim in mind, Mutant Hospital.
Mutant Hospital was a hospital specifically for mutants and were the only people capable of treating mutants, with a bonus of it being completely free.
Elvis arrived at Mutant hospital, the door instantly became intangible upon contact, letting him pass through.
"Help, my friend, he is dying."Elvis shouted,forcing nurses to run towards Emax.
Nurses immediately carried Emax away on a stroller, beginning his treatment immediately.
"Good morning Sir, can you tell us what happened to your friend?" One of the nurse's who stayed behind asked Elvis.
"We were ambushed by a group of anti mutants!!" Elvis said with panic in his eyes.
Emax had been there for him ever since they both got their mutations two years ago, they were both disregarded as weak an useless in the mutant training academy.
When other mutants could shoot fireballs from their hands or warp space, but he and Emax could only do what humans could do with slight advancements.
Upon becoming a mutant, irrespective of how powerful your mutant grade was or what you mutant ability became, you would become physically and mentally more advanced than a human.
So to other mutants Elvis and Emax were just people who only gained the side effects of mutation.
Despite all that and the constant bullying, they both supported themselves, developing a thick sense of friendship that had become brotherhood.
"Okay sir, as you know the Xlorkan's wouldn't be involved in helping, you can try going to the police but we both know that wouldn't yield to anything." The nurse said tapping Elvis on the shoulder and walking away.
Xlorkans didn't care if ascenders murdered each other, it just meant that stronger ascenders would be left behind.
Police were a mix of different alien species including humans but they weren't powerful enough to deal with ascender cases and the anti mutants were made up of the richest humans so they had their way in every police department.
Elvis could only sit in the waiting room and wait for his friends until he got a message in his neurachip.

'How tf did she know I was alive? ' After nearly dying the other day Elvis hadn't gone home since then so he assumed they would think he was dead.
The message did seem urgent so he quickly left the hospital and was sprinting his was back to his house.
One thing Elvis liked about his new system were the massive improvements.
He was leaping over five story buildings like they were nothing and his speed was crazy.
Within minutes Elvis arrived back at his house, it wasn't too far from the rift tower so it didn't take him too long to arrive there.
Elvis' eyes widened in shock, screams filled his apartments, screams he recognized very well.
"No, no, please have mercy. " Elvis could recognize the voice of his mother anywhere.

In a second he leaped through the windows of his apartment with his blades in his arms ready to cut down whatever opponent stood in his way.
But there he stood, there was no one there, no one alive at least.
The body of his family members were scattered everywhere, blood dripped from the ceiling.
He could see the head of his entire family lined up with a mutilated smile on their faces.
The circle inscribed on the ground was what drew his attention the most, right there on the ground he could see the letters clearly.
A huge Letter "A" inscribed in a circle and an "M" beside it, there was no need for him to think, it was the anti mutants, this was their logo.
Elvis broke down on the floor right there, tears flowing like a river.
"Why? Why did you have to involve them, they were just ordinary humans for God's sake. " Elvis said hurtling his blades at the figure hiding in the shadows.
A golden shield appeared blocking the blades and stopping them in their tracks.
"You know for an F class mutant you are pretty strong and you have a good eye. " The dark figure said emerging from the shadows.
"You dey mad? Are you daft??? " Elvis screamed in anger, unable to think clearly.

"You should have thought of this before.. " The dark figure tried to say but Elvis was already in front of it.
Throwing out his fist with all his strength the dark figure created an energy shield to block but it cracked into pieces.
"I will rip you apart limb from limb the same way you did to them. " Elvis said to the dark figure who was struggling to dodge.
'Who even is this guy, it was supposed to be a simple trauma job, how is he so strong. ' The dark figure thought jumping backwards to create a blade in his hands.
Shadows poured out of the blade, giving it an ominous look.
The dark figure proceeded to lick his blade, making a smile on his face.
"Her blood was as sweet as her. " The dark figure said staring at Elvis' mother, erupting into laughter.
Elvis froze for a second, his heart began pounding, blood rushed to all parts of his body 10* faster, his pupils dilated, his eyes became locked onto the dark figure.
