Asmodeus recovered enough to move after a short rest and opened his eyes, taking in the dim lighting of the cavern. He spent a moment adjusting himself before hopping off the elevated stone platform.
'Damn, it feels like someone smashed my head against a wall.'
Not far away, he found Velana and Serena sitting with their backs to each other.
He took a step, his balance shifting slightly as he almost fell. Serena's eyes snapped open, and she instantly appeared beside him, wrapping her arm around his waist and keeping him in place. "Are you alright?"
Her sweet fragrance filled his nose as her silver hair fluttered through the air.
'She's back to normal.'
"I'm just a little tired." He looked around, expecting to see Nerim and the others, but only found Serena and Valena. "How is everyone else?"
Serena paused while biting her lip; she turned away her gaze. She quickly took a deep breath and turned back with a smile.
