Asmodeus looked over his shoulder at the smouldering ruins with a forlorn expression. He shook his head and turned away.
'There's no way it could be this easy...'
The cave didn't collapse, and ever since he initially noticed it, that strange atmosphere didn't occur a second time.
'Those two weren't the Abyssal.'
Of this, he was sure.
Valena stood in her human form, watching him with a smirk.
"There you are, master, how did it go?"
"What do you mean exactly? Killing the fake origin Abyssal or the half-truths they seemed to know about the real ones."
Her eyes brightened. "As expected of my master, you found out?"
"Listen here, you..."
He walked towards her, blasting more aura the closer he came.
The dragon quickly raised her arms in surrender and even swung her tail like a white flag.
"Master, don't be angry, I'll tell you what I mean!"
Asmodeus held his anger and tilted his hands, "Explain."
