Leng Youchen glanced at her but remained calm and silent. Wei Anning was anxious; they had agreed on a proposal, yet this man showed no signs of following through. She really couldn't fathom what he was up to.
Wei Anning shook his arm, "Hey, you're not thinking of backing out, are you?"
"You're anxious?" Leng Youchen said coolly.
Wei Anning's cheeks flushed, "Who says I'm anxious? I'm not anxious at all. If anyone's in a hurry, it's you."
Leng Youchen simply smiled without speaking, wrapping his arm around her shoulders and continuing toward their apartment. Wei Anning bit her lip as she watched his inscrutable expression and decided not to press further in order to avoid appearing overly eager.
In truth, she was a bit uneasy inside. It stemmed from her current bare-bones situation and empty pockets.
