Some said they saw Si Lang heading towards the fields in the south, some said he was going in the direction of the county town, and others claimed he went west.
Such information hardly aids in locating Si Lang and instead adds to the confusion.
Si Lang left the old residence and wandered around the area of Thirty Mile Camp, ultimately disappearing without a trace!
The search continued, but now even Lian Shouyi and Lady He, who were initially composed, started to worry. They finally stepped out of the house to join in the search for Si Lang. They went to places nearby that Si Lang often visited, but still, he was nowhere to be found.
