Zhang Yu happily carried today's catch home. It was a good day for fishing; he traded a few fish and got some red dates and two milk tickets in exchange.
Indeed, these days wanting to drink milk isn't something you can just do whenever you feel like it.
"Let's make a fish soup with these fish." Even though Zhang Wei may not be awake yet, it doesn't matter. If he can't eat, there are still others in the family who can, and anyway, we're not short of fish at home.
Zhang Yu was busy in the kitchen cleaning the fish and cooking the soup when he heard a knock at the door. He wondered if it was Zhang Wei coming back.
When he opened the door, he was surprised to find Mother Wang standing there. The smile on his face immediately faded. Given the things he had heard and what the neighbors had mentioned, Zhang Yu was certain that she hadn't come with good intentions.
"Wang Yan is not here." Zhang Yu didn't let her in.
